「We had a wonderful time at Burnside during our road trip through Scotland. Our suite was comfortable and provided all we needed. We loved walking around the tranquil setting and making friends with the local sheep. Our host was friendly, attentive, and the food wonderful. She lent us binoculars and guided us to the best places to see puffins. We’re happy we had the opportunity to stay there.」

「Friendly staff. Beautiful room. No issue arriving late on the ferry from Aberdeen. No parking but easy to find free on the road parking nearby. Lovely and plentiful breakfast but as this was not included in my booking we were surprised to discover it was so expensive (£18 each). Fabulous location which means you can walk to everything in Kirkwall and easily drive to anywhere on the main island. Could be a good base for a long stay on Orkney.」

「Great stay, room was excellent, breakfast options were varied and well cooked. Hosts were very helpful and allowed me to store my rented bike in their garage. Overall a great stay. Good location to travel out to Skara Brae, Birsay, the Orkney Brewery, Stenness, Ring of Brodgar, HOUTON AND THE ferry to Scapa Museum.」

「We booked online last minute called up to say we would arrive in 30 minutes, the staff was very eel and helpful. We was shown to our room then went down for an evening meal, the food was excellent and we was made to feel as part of the family, it is a lovely warm feel place with lovely people and the rooms was amazing the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful we would highly recommend staying in the Manor and meeting this lovely family it’s one of the best I have ever...

「Jane is friendly and sincere. We were impressed by her welcome tea while we did the check in. She actively provided advice on the choice of restaurants in the area and helped us book a table for dinner at Northern Sands. Jane and Richard are nice guys with their lovely cat, Lona. We did have a happy time there. Cheers.」

「We had an incredible 2 night stay here. Fyona and Colin went above and beyond to make us feel at home and we would 100% stay there again! Breakfast was delicious, the room was cozy but just what we needed and the neighbourhood was quiet. It's about a 20 minute walk to the shops in Kirkwall which was so perfect. Can't recommend enough!」
