“Checking in was a little difficult since I arrived late and it was already dark. There wasn’t a clear indication of where I needed to go, but the host referred me to Jeff, who was fantastic. He was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area — he alone deserves a star! The stay itself was okay. The area was beautiful, and the community was very friendly. The place has a lot of potential, but I think it could really benefit from a deep clean and some minor renovations. When I first……

“Great staff”

“Very clean. Convenient location.”

“Cute little cottage. We were just passing through working. Naturally I picked a day the restaurant closed. Pictures were a little confusing on what you got but I was fine with the room for the price. I'd stay again. Bed was very comfortable.”

“There were several spiders throughout the house and then found going into one of our pieces of luggage.Having the house sprayed inside and out would probably be a good idea.”

“This house was perfect for myself, my husband and 2 adult children. We were in town from AZ visiting family and sightseeing up north. The house was very clean and much bigger than we expected! It is stocked with everything you could possibly need. I received the check-in information the morning of arrival, as expected. Parking was a breeze in the lot behind the house. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything!”

“Nice location and good communication from the owner. ”

“Nice layout with all the immenities”

“Place was clean and well kept. It had all the amenities of home and plenty of space for families. Having air conditioning, dish washer, a full kitchen, and washer and dry was also a bonus for managing traveling families.”

“We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake, toes in the water, evening fire on the beach. Only a short walk into downtown Alpena where we listened to live music and sampled from the local breweries. Restaurant recommendations in the welcome and review book were very helpful”

“Our family get together was enjoyable because we were not on top of each other every family had their own unit if we wanted alone time we had our own unit. Water pressure was an issue but was enough to take showers and the instant hot water was 5 stars treat. The place could really be a fantastic get away with a little TLC. Cleaning staff did not do a good job, baseboards were dirty, cobwebs throughout units. ovens were filthy and a couple of air condition units were not working but the units……

“This place was awesome. It was close enough to walk to a lot of different things downtown. House was very clean and came as advertised. It was the perfect space for a family with young children as well with the crib and toys/games.”

“The lake house was so perfect for a long weekend! The pictures don't do it justice. The host had everything we would need from utensils, to beach towels they had a FULLY stocked kitchen we really didn't need to bring anything with us. The decorations and attention to detail really pulled the weekend together, we all felt right at home. And there was plenty of room with all the beds up stairs and the large sofa there was plenty of room for everyone.”

“This cottage on Lake Avalon was very well suited for our family reunion. The kids and grandkids LOVED the water activity with an ample supply of fun (kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, the floating trampoline, canoe, etc) ...so much fun.The house worked out great with super fast and solid wi-fi, any kitchen utensil and dish you could ask for, 2 fridges, lots of towels, blankets, bed space, and bathrooms. Huge kitchen island for gathering :-)The outdoor space is king here, with the very large patio,……

“This property was so well stocked! From welcome snacks, to qtips the amenities were amazing! So clean! The bedding was so soft I’m buying those sheets! We came for an annual family fishing trip, and even tho the fishing was slow we had a great time! Thanks so much for your prompt reply to our questions and for providing such an awesome place for us to enjoy beautiful Michigan.”
