This property is a basic Marriott hotel, not very clean and most annoyingly, posing as a boutique hotel when it clearly is not. Upon arrival, I reminded the front desk that I had called a few days earlier to request to check in only one hour earlier due to an overseas work meeting. Even though the hotel was more than half empty, I was denied this request and instead offered to sit in their "cafe" which is a bunch of booths with noise blaring from all sides. Their pipes were not working, no hot water so the maintenance guys were there to fix it. They decided to sit close to my table even though they could see I had headphones on and was engaged in a quiet private conversation. They proceeded to talk loudly and once they started inexplicably playing their music and I could not hear my work colleague, I gently asked them to keep it down since I was on a call with work. At that point, one of them stood up and told me to "go to my room a__hole." The added benefit of staying at this filthy dump-verbal assualt. When I reported this to the manager they offered their business lounge upstairs which was caked with dust and dirt. But at least I wasn't verbally harassed up there. Management never followed up with me regarding my complaint. And even though I emailed months earlier several times about the room, a request for a quiet location on a high floor, I was given the room next to the lobby where staff come in day and night and where my view was of a creepy parking lot.
