“This is the most incredible place we have stayed at in the UK. The house was very spacious and super comfortable. The host was so helpful and exceeded our expectations with the Christmas decorations which were incredible. It was the BEST place to celebrate Christmas with our family. Highly recommend ‘The Hawthorns’ to anyone looking for something truly special!”

“Hi This isn't a criticism we had an excellent stay But.....we had elderly parents with us and think it's worth mentioning that the stairs are steep and there's no hand rail That said we would recommend your property”

“When entering the property it was very clean and tidy. The hosts were great. Plenty of room in the cottage. It was a joy to feed the animals on the farmyard especially for children, but we are big kids anyway. Sometimes were greeted by six chickens at the back door. Had a good meal at the Wrygarth up the road and also The Railway Inn. Thank you Dave and Liz for a memorable few days. Best wishes, Linda”

“Small and well presented semi detached cottage with all the little things thrown in ie washing up liquid / iron and board / towels etc I think you got the gist, recommend and will use again.”

“Very helpful and friendly owners, great location for visiting our new granddaughter. 2 mins walk to lovely Pearsons park. Some lovely welcoming items, lots of fresh fruit, bread, butter, milk and cake all vegan as owners are, a couple of things i would suggest is maybe a door curtain could be put in place as there was no privacy going from the bathroom across the kitchen to the bedroom also there was no smoke alarm present. All in all a nice stay 👍 ”

“We didn’t even get to stay in the hotel waited 30minutes outside for them to tell us the people before damaged the property so we could not stay so they left a 18year old and 17 year old with no where to stay 3hours away from home so not the best visit if I say so myself and will not be going back ”

“We booked and paid for 9 rooms at this property through VRBO. One of the team turned up at the property to find that there were no rooms - this property has not hired out rooms since October 2022. Still trying to get a refund through VRBO. Avoid at all costs!”
