I really enjoyed my stay at the Log Cabin in the Field. The host was great with communication and very friendly. This was a great alternative to the hotels downtown, but still very close to everything.

We went for our 19 year wedding anniversary. We just wanted somewhere new to go to together. Although the hot tub was not working, we had a blast… Perfect location, super clean and very comfortable! We plan to visit again!! Ric was great, communication was excellent and we were able to check in early as well

Charming Cabin Experience

Very lovely, peaceful, and comfortable stay and very helpful hosts. I was only there for one night to sleep so didn't make use of any of the extra amenities. I hope to get back again some time and stay longer!

This was the perfect location for visiting my relatives in Ceredo-Kenova. Easy access to I-64 yet quiet nights with super-comfortable bed. Excellent immediate response to any need or request that arose while also respecting my privacy. Hope to return soon.

This was a different kind of place. But it was such a great way to start our vacation! We loved the hot tub, and the room was spotless and so eclectic. Communication was fabulous - we will be back!

A quaint small room stay at the most affordable price in Huntington. The host (Ric) was super friendly and communicative on parking, entry, and what's nearby. He was even generous enough to offer us a ride into town to watch the football game when it was mentioned that we had planned on calling an Uber. Bed was comfortable, bedroom and bathroom was clean and spacious. The only criticism I can offer is that the room did not have a thermostat to control temperature even though the room was comfortable to my standard. My wife is going through the "change" and subject to hot flashes and wanted it cooler. There are a couple of fans in the room that she was able to turn on. There was also a space heater for I imagine would be needed in the colder months. The biggest critique though would be the room layout. The front door opens directly into the bathroom. If you happen to be sitting on the toilet or just stepping out of the shower when the front door is opened, you would have great views out onto the front porch and front parking areas and vice versa. Although there's not a big risk of someone peeking in, it still is kind of awkward. The bathroom is spacious enough where some kind of partition or wall could be set-up or installed to shield the front door views. All in all, I would recommend and would stay here again if I were passing through this area.

Room was small but very cozy and comfortable with lots of nice touches. A little road noise but relatively quiet. Location is terrific, just off I-64. Ric is an exceptional proprietor - attentive and quickly responsive. All in all, an excellent value and we'd come back.

I liked the room ok, there however is little privacy for couples (bathroom and bed are the same room). Hot tub was great, landscape was pretty. The owner was quick to respond (we were a same day booker), and was easy to work with and accommodating, linens and towels smelled great and super soft. Would likely stay again if we road trip through that area again.
