They made sure all our needs were met but allowing us the privacy to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Te Karaka lodge surroundings. Our meals, prepared by the master chef, Franz were as good as we have experienced in any restaurant . Only the finest ingredients selected by him. Presented beautifully with attention to detail and creating wonderfully unique taste combinations. We cannot recommend Te Karaka Lodge highly……

“Historical hotel in town but the faculties or rooms are not dated at all. Overall very pleasant stays. We stayed at apartment and regular room on two separate occasions, both are very clean and spacious. Lots and lots of restaurants and some souvenirs shops nearby. Highly recommend! ”

“Awesome place to stay, bit of a sewerage smell at front of property but the apartment was beautiful and clean and smelt good!!!! This is a great option for people who have a whanau member in hospital, you can cook them a kai and walk it straight up to the hospital as it was a 2 minute walk. Well done Lorne Apartments, we had an awesome stay.”

“Room is small but perfect for one person, and I stayed only one night. My single room had a tv, single bed, small wall-unit thing, fresh towels and clean bedding. Outside room was separate toilet and shower to share with another room. Facility has shared kitchen area for cooking and eating. Everything was clean too, and there was a washing machine and dryer as well. Honestly had everything I needed! Thank you for having me.”
