“Room was very comfortable but paint was peeling and was a bit worn. Walls very thin so could hear talking from other rooms.Unfortunately we tried to go to restaurant but it was very crowded at 530pm so we went somewhere else, it looks nice! Check in was easy and everyone so nice .I would stay again but probably try for the lodge or end room , it would help to have a Keurig or coffee maker in room.PERFECT location for high peaks hiking !!! Cute fireplace outside and swing !!! People so NICE !!!”
“There brook in the background is great. This place is an old style, but we’re ok with it.
This is our second stay.
The staff is very nice and does everything to help you.
Right off the road, but quiet. Nearby town for food.
No elevator for second floor. Again, fine for us. No AC, but you don’t usually need it and rooms have fans. The doors are odd, but all work. Let the water run awhile for a hot shower or washing dishes. Good size fridge and stove.
Great access to all things Adirondack. ”
“Wonderful place to stay in the Adirondacks for a couple nights. Our room had been fully renovated recently and was great. They are in the process of renovating another section of the lodge currently but this had no impact on our stay. Nice, quiet community close to many of the sights we wanted to see in the Lake Placid area. ”
“The property was very nice but there were no breakfast or lunch options for guests who stayed there during the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant for dinner was delicious. ”
“I was surprised on how big the room was when we entered. Lots of space and even the bathroom was spacious.
Lots of parking amd close enough to main street where you can walk.
The breakfest in the morning was only ok. Everything was tempted but not superhot.
The one nice thing is that they offer coffee, tea 24/7.
I would definitely recommend to stay here.”
“It’s a cute little house in the center of the town, some of the room provides lake view. The room has high ceiling, but one downside is there’s no blackout curtain and the lake view is facing east with bright light in the morning. Self service coffee in the hallway.(could be a bit disturbing in the morning when people are making coffee right outside your door.) We saw the host at check in then everything else you just handle yourself, very easy. The room is very clean, Antony is very friendly……
“Beautiful place - quiet, clean, nice pool, convenient to town but not in the middle of the crowd.
If anything was unusual, it was the breakfast service ... a little like ordering at a fast food restaurant, but with table service - and really good food!”
“The hotel was a unique combination of houses and cabins. We stayed here over Labor Day weekend in one of the houses with our dog and enjoyed the hotel’s firepit and live music. I wish we had more time here to have enjoyed the pool and sauna. The walk to the river behind the hotel is through a beautiful park and a nice easy stroll.
Our room had a fireplace but it was not currently in service, a beautiful bathtub (no shower), and a comfortable king sized bed. I would recommend this place for……
