Comfortable and relaxing stay

The Alpine home was great for our short getaway to Idyllwild. Cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. The cabin could use some small repairs but otherwise it was great for what we wanted.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was nice and cozy. It had all the essentials. Very close to town, easy to get to. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. I would suggest the spa be thoroughly cleaned.

Perfect Idyllwild Getaway!

This is a lovely cabin that is perfect for an Idyllwild getaway. While we had a few challenges with the payment system when booking, the issues were ultimately resolved and everything was smooth once we got there. The house is spacious – more than what we needed (it'd be great for a small group or family!) — but was clean and conveniently located. Would stay again!

Odd

The property is odd. The bedrooms and layout of the house was just odd. There were some doors that lead to an odd side of the house. Not sure which was the front door, the stairs were much higher than standard sized steps, I actually fell going down the steps. Also there were closers that were kinda creepy and missing some of the panels. The blinds were also missing, the hot tub gave me hives after using it and I felt a bit exposed. Weird house.

Overall, I recommend this location if you're looking for a basic cabin that is close to town.

House needs some work, New Spirit is accommodating.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Alpine Lodge could use a spruce up from the owners. We had a long term stay and found the outdoor deck and outdoor furniture in poor condition. I would reccomend a refinish and refurbish. The dining table is unsturdy and needs to be replaced. The ice maker in the fridge is broken, there are incomplete sets of plates and glasses. The main bedroom could use a chest of drawers as well as hangers and a full length mirror. The latch on the dryer is broken. I don't think this place is well equipped for long term rentals. However, we did have a good experience with Lydia and the gang at New Spirit Rentals. If we decided to do this again next summer we will work with New Spirit, we will just drive up and look at the property we rent first.

Very poor communication and follow up

I canceled another property and booked this one for $300 more for the weekend because I wanted a hot tub for my wife’s bday. I was assured there was a working hot tub verbally and it is in the listing. However I was made to sign a contract that has language not guaranteeing any of the extra amenities, the hot tub being one of these extras. Upon check in, I was told the hot tub was set for over 90 degrees. When we arrived, it was 78 degrees. We called the next morning, they sent a technician twice and hot tub never got higher than 81 degrees which felt like leukwarm bath water. At check out, I complained and they said they would have someone call me within the week but not to have any expectations because of that contract I had to sign to stay there. No one ever called. I emailed and called with no return response. Basically the contact NEW SPIRIT VACATION HOMES makes you sign let’s them out of being accountable to assure everything is working properly. I am very disappointed and will never stay at one of their properties again. Would recommend you don’t either!
