This off-grid, dry cabin is located in the beautiful Broad Pass region of the Great Alaska Range and is a short distance from Denali National & State Parks. It shares the property with the famous Parks Highway Igloo, which is the granddaddy of Alaska's quirky history. It's a great place to snowshoe, snowmobile, hike or just enjoy Alaska's beautiful scenery and the northern lights aurora.
Includes generator for power. Fuel oil heat. Outhouses. Stove, oven & microwave for cooking. Water containers are available for drinking and washing.
Sheets are provided but bedding is not provided, if you're unable to bring your own blankets/sleeping bag/pillows, please contact us and we'll do everything we can to accommodate you and make you as comfortable as possible.
This 2 story off-grid, dry cabin (dry means there is no running water) is within cell service range and has a full upstairs complete with a balcony. The cabin has lots of windows for safe wildlife viewing and enjoying the breathtaking mountain views. Downstairs has a bunkbed with a twin & a full size mattress, Kitchenette, dining table and large covered porch. The upstairs features 2 queen beds and cabinets for storage. 2 outhouses are available 20 steps from the cabin.
The charming cabin is located approximately halfway between Wasilla and Fairbanks at mile 188.5 on the Parks Highway, you can't miss it- it has the world's largest igloo in the parking lot. For people using Google Maps search for Igloo City and it will take you right to the abandoned igloo that shares its property with Igloo City Cabin Rentals.
