"Lovely little apartment.. very clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable! Hot tub was lovely and we sat in it and watched the sunset over the sea. Complex is quite run down but work is ongoing to improve the facilities. A manual for the hot tub would have been useful having never used one before."

"It was a lovely self- contained property for one or two people. I think it would feel crowded for any more. The hosts even bought a new TV when i couldn't watch the Olympics on the old one. The games room was great but if I hadn't known the people in the cottage next door, I don't know how i would have gained access. It was a lovely peaceful stay with everything I needed and very kind, helpful hosts. "

"The apartment was lovely, and very spacious. My daughter loved the single 4 poster bed. The kitchen was well equipped. The pool was warm, clean and we got it to ourselves (only open from 10am-5pm though). Beautiful sunsets over the small harbour. We also enjoyed our complimentary entry to watermouth castle - lots of things to do. A really wonderful stay."

"It was a great stay, nice facilities and amazing staff. The only reason I wouldn't say 5 is: - check in was delayed by an hour or so. - there was no spatula. - the hob fan and light didn't work - the microwave defrost was more like full power. - I didn't know what to do with the bins. Maybe I missed this somewhere. Would stay again"

"This is a good, reliable, clean, budget place to stay. We used it when walking Stage 4 of the SW Coast Path - very convenient. Easy to park round the corner at Ropery Road car park. Hearty breakfast available (actually at sister hotel, The Royal Britannia Hotel opposite) overlooking the harbour. We had a fantastic meal at 'Giovanni and Luca' Italian restaurant nearby (booking essential in summer)."

"Beautiful house. There was 6 of us and a dog and there was plenty of room for us all. The house is beautifully decorated with original features, clean, tidy and well stocked with games and essentials for the stay. Ilfracombe was lovely and the house was a great base to explore North Devon."
