Very nice hotel near the main street. The restaurant was very good with traditional Thuringian food. It looks like the restaurant is used by locals too. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options available. The room was functional and the bathroom seemed newly renovated. The hotel had a sauna, but I didn’t use it.

First and foremost, I liked the hotel and I WOULD stay again. It's a large hotel with a convenient basement car park. The Room and parts of the hotel were stylish and well furnished. The Restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was very good. Some bacon and lighter savouries e.g. croissants would have been welcomed. A larger duvet would have been helpful (in winter). The internet was terrible. Non-existent in my room and had to there off my phone. I was on a business trip, so this is of paramount importance to me. I reported it to the evening reception and they were fairly apathetic to my complaint. The morning reception team were concerned and said they would investigate. Assuming I had bad luck with a bad internet day, then I'd stay again.

Buffet dinner was not at same level than served dinner. No possibilities to choose for example a fish.

Man steht jedesmal mind. 15 min. an der Rezeption und wartet darauf, das jemand kommt. Es wirkt sehr chaotisch. Im Restaurant das gleiche! Andere Gäste erzählten, daß im Haus gerade eine Versammlung einer sehr umstrittenen Partei stattfindet und die Angestellten dabeisein wollen. So sollte man kein Hotel führen! Das Zimmer sah sauber aus.

Für ein 4 Sterne Haus - keine Klimaanlage. Für die Zimmer mit Fenstern auf die Hauptstrasse war das zu heiß und zu stickig. Fenster aufmachen - ging nicht wegen dem Geräuschpegel auf der Strasse. Sonst war das Hotel OK. Bedienung an dem Empfang oft zu überfordert - neues EDV eingeführt...

Die Zimmer wirken etwas "in die Jahre gekommen". Der Teppich liegt sicher schon sehr sehr lang in den Zimmern. Zuletzt hatte ich ein Zimmer mit schön renoviertem Badezimmer. Das Frühstück ist "ok". Tiefgarage vorhanden.

Sauberkeit und Lage ganz okay Parken in der Tiefgarage die Nacht zusätzlich 9€, Außerhalb kaum Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Normalerweise ist die erste Flasche Wasser im Zimmer in den meisten Hotels kostenfrei, hier wurden nochmals 3€ berechnet.

Tolles Hotel zum guten Kurs

Die Betten waren super, das Frühstück ebenfalls. Nur das Kopfkissen war eher ein kleines, weiches Sofakissen. Und der Lüfter im Bad lief zu lange und zu laut, sodass beim nächtlichen Klogang es doch leicht nervig war. Preis/Leistung aber super!

Tolles Hotel am Rennsteig!

zum zweiten Mal in 14 Tagen war ich dort und alles war sehr gut, dieses Mal auch im Hotel-Restaurant "Belcanto". Pasta mit Gorgonzolasoße so lala (muss besser werden), mein Wiener Schnitzel sehr gut. Klasse Frühstück mit der Möglichkeit, frische Waffeln zu bekommen. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
