      Spacious ocean View Penthouse (3 bdr/2ba) sleeps 8-10 w/large ocean facing deck!

      The PENTHOUSE at Palm Plaza! This unique property is the largest in Palm Plaza complex with our beautiful ocean views patio deck!! VERY SPACIOUS! With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, fire place in living & dining room, lots of windows, large wrap around ocean facing deck with BarBeQue and patio furniture, fully equipped kitchen, dish washer, washer and dryer, 4 flat screen TVs, cable with PREMIUM movie channels, PANORAMIC WiFi , F/P, original water color art of local attractions. 1 (one) assigned carport under unit, the Penthouse is on a 3rd floor (no elevator). Good exercise!

      The layout of beds in the Penthouse is as fallow:
      1st bedroom has a FULL SIZE BED, personal AC, ceiling fan and floor fan.
      2nd bedroom has a QUEEN SIZE BED, ceiling fan, floor fan and personal AC.
      3rd bedroom (kids bedroom) has a set of bunk beds twin size each and a futon twin size, floor fan.
      Living area has 2 sofa sleepers that open up to a king size bed each, floor fan.

      The Penthouse is in a THIRD FLOOR at Palm Plaza complex, no elevators, no AC, just stairs, good exercise!

      Imperial Beach is a small, laid-back town of about 25,000 people and it's less busy than most beach areas in San Diego County. There are at least 8 restaurants within a 5-minute walk from the condo. There is a well-stocked 7-11 and Leon’s convenience stores and a taco shop about 20 yards away, and two coffee houses within 200 yards. There are many fine restaurants Sea 180, Thai food, Brigantine, Coronado Brewing, Mike Hess brewing, including several at the Hotel Del Coronado, in the beautiful and very exclusive city of Coronado, located about 8 miles north of Imperial Beach along the 'Silver Strand' that separates the Pacific Ocean from San Diego Bay. The condo is located on 177 Palm Avenue, which is a major street further to the east, but by the time it gets to the beach, it's a two-lane road. To get to the beach from the condo, it's a walk of about 200 yards crossing one street, Seacoast Drive, which is controlled by a four way stop sign.

      Imperial Beach has wide sandy beaches, all of which are publicly accessible. The surf is excellent, the area just north of the Imperial Beach Pier and another area about 1 mile south are among the best surfing locations in Southern California. The City of Imperial Beach has been working to emphasize the surfing theme, and the plentiful public art reflects that. There are two beach-front public parks within walking distance of the condo, one at the foot of the Imperial Beach Pier. The pier is about 300 yards long and there's a restaurant at the end. Even at prime time on weekends. it's easy to find a place to set up at Imperial Beach. No alcohol is allowed at the beach or in the public parks and the public places are very family-friendly. Imperial Beach is not a 'party' area compared to other San Diego County beaches such as Mission Beach or Pacific Beach.

      Easy walking distance to the beach, all shops, restaurants and historic pier. Enjoy small beach town unhurried atmosphere, estuary, ocean and bay. Also close to Coronado and San Diego for more shopping, restaurants and water activities. Close to Coronado, Las Americas outlet mall, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Lego Land and Baja California Mexico. Bring your passport when you visit in case you want to go to Baja California, México.

      Over this year a lot has changed and we are constantly learning. We appreciate all your business and are thankful for those that have continued to travel and book our property with confidence, throughout all this chaos of Covid. We are following all the EXTRA PRECAUTIONS WITH CLEANING AND SANITIZING and have reached out to VRBO/HomeAway and local authorities for advice on Covid regulations for travelers.

      It’s been a constantly changing environment and working space for our staff as well. I think we’re handling it all pretty good. Are we perfect? No. There’s no such thing as true perfection. With that said keep in mind, there’s always going to be someone who disagrees or doesn’t understand what is going on and is quick to pass judgement.

      The only thing we ask, is reach out to us, let us know if you feel like something is important and we’ll do our best to address it if is in the reach of our hands.

      Overall very satisfied
      I would generally recommend this location but the cleanliness could use an improvement. The whole place feels like it hasn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. (Ex. Shelves in the closets were covered in dust) On the other side, the kitchen was very well stocked and towels were a plenty. The communication with the host was very good and we felt at home. The neighborhood was generally friendly and the pizza brewery was awesome. The 7/11 attracts some questionable folks but other than that the area is super quiet and nice. Make sure to the check the water conditions before coming cause there were contamination signs up. So other than the cleanliness I have no major complains about this place.

      I booked this property for a family event based on the listing photos and reviews. The day of check-in I was pleasantly surprised by receiving lengthly instructions for the process, along with details about the use of the property, plus great recommendations for things to do and restaurant recommendations, as well as explicit details on the parking spot. I was thrilled. The thrill quickly faded as we approached the condo. The advertised photos were clearly taken YEARS ago. The living room furniture was worn and dingy. The tubs looked dirty and we bought cleaner before even attempting to shower. The black faucet had so much white calcification that we didn’t want to touch it, and was difficult to turn on because of it. Really didn’t want to touch anything. The ceiling fan in the dining room had dust and grime so obvious, that we didn’t turn it on, in fear of the dirt being dislodged and distributed onto our food. The patio furniture was literally falling apart. We did get a text from the owner after check-out apologizing for the condition of the patio furniture , explaining it was on backorder. It should have been replaced years ago. The patio space is shared with, I’m guessing, the owners condo. Although we never saw anyone, it was a bit unsettling that someone may have been there. I have no clue how anyone could give this property a good review - I feel duped that there are 5 stars from so many. Location was great, not much else was.

      Family reunion
      Because we came to SanDiego for a family reunion we needed aplace that accomodated 9 people. This condo did the job. We had easy acesses to restaurants, beaches and Coronado island. We had adequate space for All. Loved having having coffee on the patio every morning.

      Great place for a weekend!!!
      The place was just what we needed. Close to the beach and many restaurants. Easy to get to and check in was a breeze!! The owners even paid for a couple of cases of water due to an E-coli warning from a recent tropical storm.

      Escape to Imperial Beach
      I love the relaxed atmosphere of this beach town. The penthouse was a great location to enjoy what the town has to offer. The views are great and it's close to everything. Parking worked fine - never saw another car come or go. My bedroom was cozy and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. Temperature was always comfortable. The only issues were the check-in instructions need to be updated and there were times we had street noise late at night. I suspect Saturday nights will be noisy so be sure to include ear plugs when you pack.

      Imperial Beach = Happy vacay!!
      I can’t say enough about the helpfulness and communication of the property owner. We could hear the ocean and it was so easy to just take a short walk down to the beach. We didn’t swim but happily walked in the sand taking pictures and looking for shells. Local restaurants were fantastic without exception. The drive into San Diego was fairly easy but we were always happy to get back “home” which is cozy and welcoming. It is not a fancy place but we aren’t fancy folk. Clean and comfortable was what we wanted and that’s what we got. Our visit was too short for sure.
