“Julia’s Cabanas is a great place on the beach in Placencia. The AC is cold and necessary in May. The bed/sheets/pillows are really good. Shelly is the best. She has great communication and cares about her guests. She is attentive and happy to be of service. She is such an asset to the property.”

“Great house, right on the ocean. Our kids were all stung by jellyfish plus with the seaweed we ended up utilizing the pool a good bit rather than swimming in the ocean. The paddle boards were great to have. The location is about 25 mins from Placencia Village, where the majority of good restaurants and grocery stores are. “This place is super new or super newly renovated. It seems to be one of the first of its kind in this particular town. There is a fence around the property, but we didn’t see any particular need for it, aside from making guests feel secure and a little more away from the local sounds and sights. “Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. The staff were great, very helpful with booking trips etc. The restaurant is excellent and the wood burning Pizzeria provides a great alternative. We will be back ”
