Okay til en overnatning.
Fint motel til den pris til en enkelt overnatning. Værelset virkede rent og pænt. Det var rimelig småt, men både med køleskab og microovn.

Helt ok hotell för en genomresa. Fanns bara 1 restaurang i hela 'byn' + en Subaway.

Motel am Ende der Welt aber völlig ok
Independence liegt einfach ein bisschen am Ende der Welt, so fühlt sich der Ort auch an - dafür war das Motel aber in Ordnung, vielleicht ein bisschen altmodisch aber absolut sauber. Ich hatte ein großes Zimmer (sogar mit Essitsch-Ecke), ein bequemes Bett und die Dame beim Check in war sehr nett. Vielleicht war es ein bisschen teuer für das was man bekommt, aber prinzipiell war es völlig ok.

Kleines, etwas hellhöriges Motel umgeben von Bergen. Für einen Stopp auf der Durchreise vollkommen ausreichend. Infrastruktur (Tanken, Essen, Supermarkt) fußläufig vorhanden.

Motel is right on busy highway. lots of traffic noise. room was clean but small & crowded. Town is depressed & only found 1 restaurant for dinner & 1 for breakfast. Wouldn't stay there again.

Sind auf unserer Amerikareise für eine Nacht in diesem Motel eingecheckt. Begrüßung war sehr freundlich. Zimmer etwas klein aber ausreichen. Zimmer, Bett und Handtücher waren sauber. Alle Einrichtungsgegenstände waren Funktionstüchtig und ausreichend sauber. Für eine Nacht OK.

Plan B on the way to Death Valley
We booked fairly late for our night before visiting Death Valley and had limited choice. Old motel with renovated rooms that provide the basics.

Small Jem in Independence
This small but comfortable room had everything I needed for a quick vacation - TV, wifi, coffee and a hot shower. The room was clean and quiet and the staff was very nice and helpful. The price for the room was very reasonable, especially compared to nearby Lone Pine. I look forward to staying here again.

Clean and comfortable
Slept well. Tiny room, but they gave us a free upgrade from the smallest because they weren't very busy mid-week. Had a microwave and fridge, which is good because the town has only two restaurants, and one is a Subway. Good place for a mid-trip overnighter.

Very overpriced
I booked this motel because it was one of the few options Hotels.com gave for this area, and one of the least expensive. I have no problem with the way the motel was, but it's completely overprised! I've paied alot less for much nicer places. The owners were very nice and friendly, so +points for that. But the motel was very run down and "trailor-like". Very tiny room and bathroom, very noisy, and the towels should have been thrown out a long time ago (had holes in them). Like I said, I wouldn't mind staying at this place again if it's just an overnight stop, but for alot less money.

Voilà un motel qui, malgré son état un peu moins moderne comparé aux autres est tiré par le haut par la qualité de l'accueil que l'on a eu par le gérant. On le sent passionné par ce qu'il fait et c'est ce qui fait la différence.

perfect little motel - friendly staff
friendly check in, clean room, the shower could get a new shower head (minor issue) but again all in all, good room, the checkout was also really friendly there was also some confusion the hotel.com app showed the price incl. tax the hotel excl. the tax from his rates and applied them when you check in, but they even offered a refund which I declined (it's not worth the hassle) and I slept so well. If I'm around again I would consider to stay here again. I was really pleasant surprised how clean the place was.

Basic motel with large clean rooms
Checked in late after a long drive through Death Valley, and nowhere to eat in town except Subway. There is a restaurant within walking distance, but it was closed when we tried it (apparently it has no specific opening times!). Nearest towns with restaurants at least 15 miles away. Suggest you be prepared to travel this distance or eat before you arrive. Rooms above average size I would say for this type of strip motel. Also travelled some way to get breakfast in the morning.

Pretty pricey and small. A bit noisy too.
Maybe one should not expect much from a modest motel, but a little bit more probably yes. The room was very small and reasonably clean. However it was quite noisy (one could hear all noises from outside and from adjacent rooms too). Breakfast not available. Quite expensive overall for what you get. The options in the area are not much, if you get there by driving from south (e.g. Death Vally), you may consider continuing a little bit further to a bigger town.

It's an older Mom & Pop style hotel. The rooms are tiny; maybe 12'x12'. The owners were very friendly. The cost was excessive for what you get, but there was a film festival going on in the area, so that is probably why it was higher than what it should normally have been.

Das Hotel ist schon ein wenig älter hat aber auch ein gewissen Charme. Die Besitzer sind recht bemüht und gerade die Besitzerin auch gern für einen Plausch bereit. Wer große Erwartungen hat wird enttäuscht sein. Wer anderseits nüchtern bei dem Preis an die Geschichte rangeht wird tendenziell sich eines guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bewusst werden.

Independence Courthouse Motel
This motel should not be on your recommend list. The room smelled of mildew, the room was very small, the bathroom was so small my husband had difficulty moving around, cars are parked two feet from the room window. There was a non stop motor noise through out the night. In addition, we arrived at 7 PM and found no place to eat in the town

Super bonne escale entre Yosémite et Death Valley. Chambre petite mais très propre et personnel accueillant et serviable. Boulangerie et restaurant français à quelques mètres. A recommander sans hésitation.

Situato in un piccolo paese, dopo le 21 non trovate nessun ristorante aperto per mangiare..

Perfekt für die Durchreise
Die Eigentümer waren sehr freundlich! Nach einem Anruf, dass sich unsere Anreise verzögern würde, war das kein Problem. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, die Matratzen bequem. Der Ort ist sehr klein, aber gegenüber gibt es ein nettes privat geführtes Diner, ideal für´s Frühstück. Für die Durchreise das perfekte Motel!

Great Quality
Overall this was an excellent stay. Owners were very friendly. The family room was very spacious and worth the price. Internet was free but connection was weak - other than that it was great!

Ein tolles Motel, von den Inhabern sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Man merkt, daß dieses Motal mit sehr viel Herzblut geführt wird. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alles super sauber. Ausgezeichneter Service.
