We found ourselves in IND for a bit of snowy weather and had a great two night stay with Aaron. The home is fun and outfitted well. My husband and I appreciated the fenced in yard for our dogs and the generously sized fireplace in the living room. It was a lovely stay and we would recommend!
Our stay at the retro ranch was peaceful and relaxing! The house was charming and perfect for a night in playing games or relaxing in the hot tub. We definitely recommend this property or the other rentals on their farm!
Host was quick to respond. We had an issue with the oven not working, our host had this taken care of in a very short amount of time. The place was as advertised, had a good stay and enjoyed the location.
We had a great time at the Retro Ranch. The decor was beautiful and very clean. The property felt very secluded despite other properties being close by. Aaron was very responsive and super understanding when a mishap occurred. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy stay.
My friends and I were looking for a spot close to home, that would allow us all to unplug for a night. One couple has a toddler and this was the first night away without him. It was perfect. We were cost enough that they could relax and feel like they could get home quickly. But they were still able to relax and enjoy some time with friends. We played games, has a bonfire, and enjoyed the hot tub.
We did like the retro look of the house, all amenities someone could need are available and house was clean.Because it is an older house the walls are thin, so noises can heard throughout the house and heat in bedrooms not great but we were happy with the property overall.
The approach to the property is unassuming but the property itself is delightful. There are a couple of separate buildings on the property and we stayed in the first one, which had a fantastic retro theme. Excellent entertainment options with a game room in the garage, a hot tub in a secluded garden area. Overall the stay was excellent and i thoroughly recommend a stay here to any and all!
House is spacious! Also liked that sound didn’t travel much. Guys were able to play games while I napped and didn’t hear laughing or game noises. The deer in the orange collar cracks me up and we pet her (with permission). Stayed here for Royal Rumble and was a great location to keep us out of down town but close enough that it was easy to get to. Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!
Ketchy Mid-Century Modern was exactly as advertised. Much larger than expected. Wife and I, 5 grown kids, 4 grandkids under 4 - and it didn't seem small. Theme was fun, and yet everything worked - games, juke box, etc. It wasnt just for show. Communication with the host was beyond excellent. We only stayed one night, and the only drawback is that we couldn't spend more. We definitely would stay here again. Honestly, this is what VRBO should be, a private owner having fun with a design and going out of their way to do the small things (like robes for the hot tub) that no corporate owner would. We felt at home and appreciated.
We stayed at the property for a few days while visiting local family over Christmas. Our group consisted of two adult couples, two adult children, and three dogs. We found it quite suitable for our needs, as each party had their own room. The fourth bedroom is actually a bed on the enclosed sun porch with a curtain dividing it from the rest of the porch. It was nice that each proper bedroom had their own TV in case somebody wanted to get away. The wifi was strong and stable. There were lots of electronic arcade games as well as a huge TV in the converted garage which serves as the game room. There are two full baths (not sure why the listing says three) and a powder room. The decor was truly a retro theme, with musical furnishings and decor which added to the fun vibe. There is a hot tub and a fire pit outside, neither of which we used. The backyard was enclosed with a fence which was very much appreciated by us and our dogs. We had an issue with initially being unable to find the bath towels, but replacements were delivered immediately once we told the owner. We would definitely stay here again.
We couldn't have chosen a better place for our M-F trip to Indy. As a vintage fan, I loved that this home holds its vintage charm as well as modern features. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms, photos do not do them justice. The house was clean & inviting. Beds were comfortable, linens were clean, & extras were provided. Each room has plenty of storage space. Tvs throughout the house all worked great, which helped when traveling with multiple kids. The master bedroom has a vintage TV converted into a fireplace, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is beautiful, & the modern "vintage style" appliances were perfect for the theme. I loved the ceramic tile ceiling! We loved having the option to eat at the kitchen bar or the dining room. The dining room has a "candle lit" chandelier, which helps create a warm, intimate feel. The game room is great. The kids and adults in our group enjoyed this addition. Our trip was during the first cold week of the season, but the house stayed perfectly heated. The private backyard area is perfect for get togethers. Despite there being other nearby units, we never heard noise or experienced any issues. Our family felt safe staying here. We travel multiple times per year & prefer short-term rentals. Aaron had the best communication of any place we have stayed thus far! We did not have any issues or needs during our trip, I feel confident Aaron would have handled these to our satisfaction if we had.

I hate to leave negative reviews, especially here as the owner was so nice.1st, the positive. It’s a beautiful/serene location, working farm with opportunities to explore. We took a path down to the river, enjoyed seeing the farm animals. AC worked great during brutal heat wave. Retro decor is charming. Owner easy to reach via text when I had issues; problem was, too many issues. 2 bath listing, it was 1.5 & construction happening for the 2nd. 2nd day, toilet in the full bath got clogged with poo. Plumber came out next day but until he could get out only shower was in a stinky poo room. We had many teen baseball players & parents in need of shower. Owner opened up another VRBO property for us to use. There’s about 4 properties on same farm so you don’t have whole farm to yourself which we thought we’d have. 1030pm we had stranger knock on our door wake us up asking “is this the VRBO?” Very startling. What’s provided is sparse- no shampoo, conditioner, body wash. 2 beds in room which faces sunrise, no blinds so you’re waking up with roosters. No lawn chairs - 2 picnic tables with affixed benches, no flexibility to gather around as a group. Dryer doesn’t work- 2 cycles & baseball uniforms still wet. Got access to a barn dryer. Hot tub looked filthy and I don’t think it was “mineral deposits” from hard water as a sign said. I was going to buy that excuse until I saw a shelving unit near it is a total filthy wreck so follows tub would be similarly uncared for.
Check in was super easy and the kitchen facilities served our needs. We loved spending the night here before spending the day at the Indiana Stare Fair!
We absolutely loved this property! As soon as we walked in the Retro Ranch house I was in love. The decor was amazing! We plan to bring our kids back sometime! We love country life so this location was special to us!
Overall the property was beautiful. Lots of games and things to do. The hot tub was pleasant. Host was very nice, responsive, and helped quickly when we accidentally locked ourselves out. One of the main reasons we chose this place was because it was large enough to accommodate our group of 12. Unfortunately the pull out couch was broken and missing the mattress. It was also in the un air-conditioned game room instead of in the 4th bedroom as listed. Thanks so much for letting us stay, we had a great time!
Very cool property. A bit “off the main grid” but that works out perfectly. 20 min drive to where ever we needed to go. But far out enough to feel remote. The decor of the ranch is so fun…. Stepping into a 50s/60s diner/travel hotel/hippie ranch. Waking to the animals, rooster crows and sunshine was like a story book. If ever in this area again, would definitely stay here again.
