Der Service im Hotel Fernau war sehr gut. Was ich persönlich schade fand war, dass dass der Pool erst nach 7.30 Uhr nutzbar war. Ein kurzer Schwumm vor dem Frühstück hätte ich sehr geschätzt. Das Frühstück gab es leider erst ab 7.30 Uhr. Ich finde man sollte in einem Hotel, das sich in einem Ort befindet der Ausgangspunkt für diverse Wanderungen ist, bereits ab 7.00 Uhr frühstücken können.

I liked the single room I had with its lovely balcony. It was very clean and had a nice sized solid wardrobe, a very comfortable mattress and a little table. There’s a lift to all the floors. The thing I didn’t like was the amount of food left uncovered in the buffet part of breakfast and evening meal. There were flies around and they could easily land on the food. The food itself was well cooked and nicely presented. There was not always a vegetarian option but one would be made if you asked.

Great place and very serviced staff!

Very nice staff and owner, got two rooms instead of one for just 5 Euro more without asking. Great service and very friendly staff, beautiful location and view! Very silent with great nature around. The night we came they had local livemusic, typical from the alps. Very lively and nice! Great place to stay and was offered free garage without asking, came with a special car so guess the owner was extra friendly which was highly appreciated! In this place they know service which is not very common in Germany and Austria!

A five star experience

I cannot find any bad words To describe Alpenhotel Fernau. The hotel was beautiful, staff was helpful and knew what they were doing, breakfast was great and hiking in the area was just unbelievable. If you happen To stay in the hotel and they happen To arrange a grillabend during your stay, make sure you're participating. The only negative thing- as nowadays almost everywhere- is the annoying know-it-all, want-it-all, can't-really-behave tourists who-sad To say- are usually Brits.
