「The cottage looks nice in photos and they do keep it as clean as they can; however, it is very rundown. We were bothered by the strong smell of fabric softener (gives us migraines) and mildew. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom narrow and dark, and overall, we just had “the creeps” the whole time. So much so that we left early. Honestly, we expected more for the price. You can find better options in the area for what we paid.」

「This is a great location if you want to check out the lake superior Lakeshore, as well as Bayfield and Madeleine Island. Everything is very conveniently located you can walk to most places in Ashland right from the place. The apartment is pretty basic with kitchen items, but enough to do what you need to do. Very comfortable bad and very quiet.」

「Excellent location, easy access to the water. They even have some kayaks available for use. Details not in the listing: the sauna is electric, there is a hammock! and the grille isn't a grille, it's a skillet / flat top. No firepit. We had a great stay! would stay there again in a heartbeat if I made more money 」

Everything was immaculately clean, the host was very helpful and in communication, and there were lots of nice touches to make our stay enjoyable.
