"The room and the bathroom was very well appointed. However the parking situation left you parking in an underground garage with quite a bit of a walk to the front of the hotel. After you leave the hotel you need a four digit code to get into the parking garage which we weren’t given and thankfully had to rely on another guest getting into the garage so we could get back to our car.
We also ended up ordering room service. The food was excellent but even though I charge it to the room the front desk consisted on me coming down at 9 o’clock at night to pay with a credit card when I was trying to get to sleep for a 3 AM departure. When I went down to pay they said oh it’s no problem we can just tack it onto the parking fee.
Very disappointing would not go back there again"
"Fantastic hotel great staff friendly helpful.
Food was excellent, came in a solo trip with my dog .
The grounds were something else . Can’t wait to go back x"
"First too was far too small, asked for upgrade and initially told it would cost £300 so refused. Next day offered bigger room for £120 and took it due to the room size and wardrobe to fit our clothes away. Meals at Breakfast were adequate, dinner menu could be improved by more choice. Sunday roast and Fish/Chips were ace but Steak Pie was not."
"Great hotel in a beautiful location right on the River Dee. The views are incredible. Ample parking. Nice room (with river view), and modern bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were very well made. Service everywhere was excellent. There was a wedding going on my first night - I didn’t hear a thing. At first I thought the bed felt firm, but I had great sleeps both nights. Overall, an excellent hotel, and I will stay again if I’m in the area."
"Easy parking, lovely staff, but room was just okay.
However, a few bug bears,
- Mattress was not of high quality, or old. Either way it was hard and you could faintly feel the pressure points of springs.
- Shower Gel, Shampoo and conditioner are all in large bottles that do not fit in the caddy/holder in the shower.
- No robes or slippers
- Wi-Fi was fairly slow, I ended up tethering my laptop to my phone
- Bathroom had some grime on the bath panel and corner tiles
