Nice Hotel near town center, some rooms with great vies

Hotel Splendid offers clean, large rooms (at least as a double). the staff is very friendly and helpful. breakfast was not grand, but was adequate. Some of the rooms have great views of the mountains and park, I asked for a nice view as a request and was very happy. I have stayed in Interlaken a lot and thought the hotel was a good value.

ホテル周辺にはレストランや土産物屋などがあって便利です。スタッフも親切、東駅に行くのに便利なバスの無料乗車券をもらえます。（バス停はすぐ近くのヘーエ公園前） 1階はパブになっています。

Hotel Splendid im Herzen von Interlaken

Hotellage eignet sich für alle Aktivitäten im Berner Oberland. Frühstück ist gut. Frühstückseier kann man selbst kochen oder braten.

Good Location, Spacious Rooms

The hotel is old but clean and well-managed. Located at the city center, just 5 minutes walk from Interlaken West station and 15 minutes from Interlaken Ost. The room was very spacious and had a great view, we could even see the Jungfraujoch mountain when the weather was clear. We were lucky enough to stay here during the Swiss National Day, and we could see the festival and the fireworks right from our balcony.

Mitten im Zentrum

Das Hotel Splendid liegt mitten im Zentrum von Interlaken. Die Hotelzimmer sind einfach aber zweckgemäss eingerichtet und reicht vollkommen aus. Die Zimmer verfügen über kleine Balkone mit Blick in die Hauptgasse. Die freundliche Bedienung und das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet runden den gesamten Eindruck des Hotels positiv ab.

central location of Hotel Splendid

Hotel Splendid is a medium class hotel with all comfort necessary but nothing extra. The single room has a larger than normal bed (approx. 120 cm wide instead of the usual 90), and a small but functional bathroom with only soap provided, no shower cap etc. The hotel is located at the corner of a more quiet and a main street, and a pub is on the ground floor. So one night it was a bit noisy for a short while, but altogether a quiet place. It appears there are many similar hotels in Interlaken, but depending on availability and time of season I can recommend this hotel.

とにかく景色が素晴らしかった。ベランダから見るスイスの山々が部屋からあんなに きれいに見られたのは良かったです。ただ、通常2人部屋のところを エキストラベッド を入れて ３人用にしていたので少し狭く感じられた。でも、お風呂もついていたし、 朝食も美味しかったので、また泊まってもいいかなと思いました。

Saubere Zimmer und frisches Frühstück....

Zentral gelegen. Dusche/ WC etwas eng, aber üblich bei nachträglichen einbauten. Keine Fernsicht im Zimmer. (war Z.3X) Saubere Zimmer und frisches Frühstück - Kaffe und Tee im Krug. Wir waren zu zweit und nur eine Nacht hier. Gesammteindruck: empfehlenswert.

Wonderful experience

I was impressed with this hotel's flexibility. I had reserved rooms for one night for my sister and me and mistakenly made the reservations for a day earlier than I meant to. Upon arriving, the hotel desk clerk told me that we had been considered "no-shows" for the previous evening. But then he provided us rooms anyway, and did not charge us even though the rooms had been empty but paid for the previous night. I would go back to this hotel without hesitation if I went back to Interlaken.

Its about 7 minutes walk from int west station and 15 min to int ost.( but there is a bus every 15-20 min.). staff at reception and restaurant were pleasant and helpful Generally clean room but toilet and bath is small and smells probably because there is no floor drain outlet for a good wet wash. Bed too soft and sinks in the middle, may cause backache .A little noisy from the nearby alley and road as had to open a window for ventilation at night(cool early June weather). Best to avoid in the heat of summer because there is no air cond. No tea or coffee making facilities. Has free wifi

Loved it!!!

On a 2-week 6-hotel vacation, this was my favorite hotel. Well laid-out room and nice balcony. Nice ventilation too with opposing windows to allow air flow with windows opened. Nice window too that crack at the top.

Great hotel

My husband and I stayed at the hotel Splendid May 6-9, 2011. I really can't say anything but good things. It is a moderately priced hotel. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We ate breakfast each morning at their buffet and it had the usual cereals, breads, fruits, coffee and juices, yogurt. You could fry an egg or boil it if you like. The location is great for walking around and seeing all the shops, restaurants and sights. It is a short walk from the West train station and within walking distance from the East station. If your room faces the street you have a beautiful view of the mountains. The street noise really was not a problem for us. The room was clean and comfortable and the pillows were thick and fluffy. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Indeed Splendid!

We had a nice stay at Splendid Hotel. The tripple room was very spacious and clean, The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is quite convenient and walkable distance from both West and Ost station. Would suggest to add few more items in the berakfast menu.

Splendid Hotel- Interlaken

Hotel is owned and managed by one family. All family members are interested in the guest's comfort. Nice hotel at a great location. Tourist office and ATM across the street. Bus stop very close by. I can recommend this hotel as we had a good experience.

Hotel in INterlaken

This is very conveniently located hotel close to Interlaken West and in middle of main street. Comfortable large rooms for 2 adult and 2 kids. I would highly recommend this hotel to all visiting Interlaken.

Worked out well

I spent three nights here. The room and hotel were very clean, staff friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast quite adequate. My single room was small, but quite normal by European standards. The hotel is downtown, so very convenient for meals and shopping. Unlike some other reviewers, I found it very quiet. I will stay here again.

In die Jahre gekommene Zimmer

Das Hotel Splendid liegt superzentral in Interlaken. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber in die Jahre gekommen (wie viele Hotels in Interlaken). Bei genauerem Hinsehen bräuchte auch die Fassade einen neuen Anstrich (abblättender Lack am Fensterrahmen etc.). Insgesamt funktionell, aber von innen ohne Charme. Das Personal ist freundlich und entgegenkommend. Zum Teil schien es aber weder Deutsch noch Englisch zu verstehen. Im Frühstücksraum brennt am Morgen ein Feuer im Kamin, was grundsätzlich schön wäre, wenn der Rauchabzug funktionieren würde. So hat man nach dem Frühstück das Gefühl, wie ein Räucherwürstchen zu stinken. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist dafür reichhaltig und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas.

Splendid Hotel Interlaken Switzerland

Very nice staff. They were extremely helpful. The rooms were adequate. Nice but not as nice as the pictures. The bathroom was tiny. The free internet was fairly fast. The free breakfast was OK but there wasn't a lot of choice. I did get to make my own eggs and there was coffee so I was fine with it. The biggest complaint that I have is that the room walls didn't keep the noise out. There is a lively bar on the first floor but the noise didn't make it up to the second floor.There is a small amount of parking about 2 blocks away. Overall, the experience was good.
