"Melfort was an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of the world. The cottage was very well equipped and staff very helpful ,welcoming and dog friendly ( especially Olwynn). Good walking and stunning scenery on the doorstep. My only quibble was the fact that it isn't made very clear until after booking that electricity is charged extra ."

"In a week of rain we managed to find many dry days. The location of the village was outstanding with views of the loch and an abundance of birdlife ( I counted 40 species in the area in the week). Melfort has great access to the isles through Oban and the coastline along the A 816 offers opportunities for gardens (Arduaine) and loch views from Ardfern. "Set in a beautiful location, quarry cottage was just perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely swimming pool, games room, snooker room. Lots of lovely walks and amazing wild life.
