“There was a very damp and musty smell in the hall and bathroom. The vegetation surrounding the cabin was overgrown so the outside felt oppressive rather than having a clear view of the Loch as per the advertisement. The wall glazing needs cleaning. The owner kindly supplies a huge amount of logs stored outside. Half of them disappeared during our stay which made us feel insecure as we felt it may be a local resident. ( Not really anyone else passing) Despite all this, the cabin was warm,……

“We booked Harris Cabin for five nights, but ended up cutting our stay short and leaving after four. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. When we arrived, we were immediately met with an unpleasant smell inside the cabin, particularly strong in the bedroom. Despite efforts to air it out, the issue persisted, making it difficult to relax or feel at ease. We spent most of our time at a nearby friend’s caravan, returning to the cabin only to sleep. “Rooms were clean and comfortable, hot tub was great. Lack of resources to contact or text the property manager when we couldn’t get the front door to lock the first night or when the WiFi went down for nearly a day. No instructions on how to operate foreign appliances! The washer/dryer in the unit never got hot enough to dry my clothing so I ended up using the towel warmer. It took me over 9 hours to get two very small loads of laundry done.”
