The location was truly excellent—central and convenient enough that we were able to walk to nearly everything we had planned, which made our visit especially enjoyable. “Pros: Location of the property is excellent. A few minutes walk to train station, Trinity College, St Stephen’s Green and cathedrals. Surrounded by shops and restaurants, and host provided a list of several recommendations which was a nice touch. House was very clean and beds were comfortable. Communication with host was excellent and check in/departure were very smooth. We arrived midday and were able to leave our bags early which was appreciated. Cons: Very noisy location with several pubs……

“The hotel was decent enough, but there was a problem checking in at the kiosk. I found out it was Expedia fault for putting in the wrong check in number. It was very difficult to get in touch with anybody, but thankfully, there was a maid there that helped me get in touch with the manager, and she sorted it out with Expedia.”

“The host was very helpful and the place was clean, It is a bit smaller than the pictures made it look. The Expedia page says there is a washer and dryer. There is no dryer. When we asked the host about it she indicated that she would work to get the listing corrected and she went out of her way to help us.”

“Okay so I feel like this stay gave me a bit of whiplash. We had just come from 7 nights in a giant clean and modern cottage in the Irish countryside and came into Lahinch which this location cannot be beat. I’ll give it that. It’s steps but bars, shops, restaurants, cafes, the ocean boardwalk/prom, which you’ll see the most breathtaking sunsets. I honestly feel like I could live in this town long term. “Off the beaten path a bit but such a fun place to stay especially for a large group. We loved having our own bar but the pub across the street is awesome too. Everyone in the village was so nice and friendly and the food at the corner store was so good too. One of the highlights of our Ireland trip was spending time in Castlemaine. Easily and comfortably accommodated 8 of us. Had an issue figuring out how to turn on hot water but nothing life changing. Good WiFi downstairs. Nice kitchen. Washer/……
