“Property was excellent for pets a lot of fenced in yard for them to run around. The place was clean and modernized. And hosts were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for a wonderful week at your place.”

“Parking was ample! Such a cute place tucked in the woods so we could stand to be outside in the heat! Getting in and out was easy. And of course Wakefield fireworks do NOT disappoint!!!!”

“We have been coming to this cabin for almost 15 years & it never disappoints. You get the secluded Northwoods feeling while having the highway nearby making it easily accessible. The hosts do an excellent job leaving amenities & keeping the property kept up. We have been going to Florida for the past few years for our summer vacation & my 10 year old said this was his favorite vacation yet.”

“This cottage has been in their family for 5 generations. It was very comfortable and the amenities include a deck overlooking the lake and a private beach.”

“The Green Heron Cabin fits our growing family each year. The kids enjoy the large yard area to create games. They especially like ringing the bell on the deck. The screened in porch is perfect for meals and late night Yahtzee when the kids are sleeping. It is super convenient to Trigs the grocery store if you need something you forgot. We have it scheduled for next year also.”

“Absolutely great location if wanting easy access to snowmobile trail. Park sleds in back and exit to the side with easy crossing across highway to trail. Very nice quite neighborhood location, where you can sit and watch the deer that visit daily. Heated concrete floors were great for snowy boots and wet paws. Great layout with secluded primary suite and secondary bedrooms divided by bathroom. Owner even has dog bowls for the pooch and pooper scooper out back. Actually wanted to extend our……

“Great location for a variety of activities. We went UTVing, kayaking, biking, and hiking. We really enjoyed watching the many loons in the area.We would definitely return if the opportunity arises.”

“Nice house on lake with private dock. Try cafe in town reasonable prices nice portions and friendly service ”

“The cottage is in a beautiful setting by the beach. The beach was accessible and beautiful. The cottage was clean, with lots of windows, a nice deck, a clean kitchen, all around perfect for a nice vacation in Madeline Island.”

“Everything was better than expected. Place was larger than we thought. Traveled with a 2 year old and were able to fit a crib in the second bedroom. Everything was very clean upon arrival and we had all of the kitchen supplies we needed, especially coffee pot. Sunsets were beautiful before the smoke from Canadian fires arrived. Host communication was super checking on us with smoke and really hot weather. Would definitely consider returning next year.”

“We have stayed in this property several times and it continues to be a winner! Home is lovely and comfortable. There is nice area to relax outside and pier available. We have a family cabin nearby, but not large enough to accommodate everyone so I rent this home and the one located on the same property (as noted in the description) for my family. It is perfect if you have a larger group. If you aren't familiar with the area, the Pike Lake Chain has great fishing and beautiful, northwoods……

“Great property! We are a family of four (kids are 4&5) and we were looking for a remote getaway to unwind, fish, boat, and hike. This property offered all of those things! Kevin and Heidi were very responsive to all of our questions before and a few during our stay. The area is remote, but close enough to towns where we did go out for a dinner and spent a day exploring Minocqua.”

“Highly recommend!”

“Beautiful lake view from the front window of the house, as well as further down by the dock. Rooms were clean, comfy front sitting room just off the living room and kitchen. Great big bathroom and comfortable beds. It really is a beautiful, quiet, and serene place to unwind!”

“Very clean.”

“Beautiful lake. Very private house in a great area.”
