“I am giving three stars because I expected more from the presidential room we paid for. While the staff were welcoming and helpful, the hotel itself left much to be desired. A major issue was the lack of hot water for showers, which is unacceptable considering the price of the presidential suite. Additionally, there were very few amenities included for example, the boat ride was not part of the package, which was disappointing. “The road in was atrocious, requiring high clearance (really- owner can give you a lift) BUT if you want superb jungle solitude with great food, this is it. Rustic, yes, but all you need is here. No AC, but it’s cool after dark and you can hear the jungle in all its glory. Super cool platform in a giant ceiba tree a must view (about 85 feet high). Cabins well constructed with nice beds/mosquito nets though, again, rustic. Howler monkeys galore, dense jungle canopy.”

“This is a pretty expensive hotel for the location. The reception was closed and I had to call for help at the pool VHF-radio... Very few people speaks English. I stayed in a suite, which has a nice bed, almost the only good thing about the place. On day 2 afternoon I wanted to take a shower, but as on day 1 no hot water and after a few attempts no water at all, not even cold. No reception. The pool area is okay, but no people. no breakfast, fancy full service menu in a small booklet, but no……

“There wasn't a Spa”

“Jonathan is the most accommodating person ever!! He was truly amazing and so welcoming as we arrived way later than we thought we would. However, all the staff is excellent. The location is beautiful, absolutely spectacular. The view from the king size casita on the second floor is breathtaking. Hearing the howler monkies is a crazy experience. They only woke me up 1 out of the 4 nights we stayed, you might want to bring ear plugs just in case. I loved hearing them during the day. If you can’t……
