“We loved every minute of our weekend at Melfort. ..so our dog Bailey.the location is stunning and peaceful, the cottage we were staying was so clean and provides everything you need and it is so cosy and warm.i cant fault a thing.the pool was great,the restaurant is a plus with a good menu and good prices with super friendly staff.we loved ,loved the place..we cant wait to be back.thank you”

“This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. “Although I filled in a questionnaire and handed it in at Melfort Village reception when I left I have completed this one as well because I really enjoyed my week there.The weather was lovely and the views to die for. My friends and I had a day on Luing with lunch at the Atlantic Islands Centre which was excellent. Disappointing that the Shower of Herring was closed from Monday.My only complaint was that when I arrived on Saturday Sept.14th in torrential rain and gales there was no heating on……

“Melfort never disappoints; excellent staff and accommodation -only downside on this occasion, Shower of Herring closed until new people reopen it on 10 October. However, nearby Cufail Hotel supplied excellent meals.”

“As always our stay was very pleasant. The cottage was comfortable. I noticed that no one filled the bird feeders during our stay which is very unusual as I always think that is so nice.”

“An excellent discovery of the Melfort Village. Our cottage was perfect in every way. Clean and very cosy with all the essentials. The location is really good as if is slightly raised over the village and the view from the main area and master bedroom is stunning. You can see over the villages and through the lake. Our kids were very happy to play in front of the house too. We have stayed in late October but otherwise the patio table would be a perfect place to have your morning coffee ☕️ ! There……
