The room was very cute and the balcony was small but had a perfect view of the Galata tower. It was a bit loud at night but so worth it for the location. the entire staff was SO nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

A hidden gem!

The hotel is a hidden gem: an outstanding location, great room and very friendly staff. Breakfast is served at a nearby cafe, the selection and quality of the breakfast is great.

The hotel is located right next to Galata tower and the area has a lot of foot traffic outside. Its an easy walk to public transit and other areas to see. Just know that Istanbul is very hilly so the distance may be short but it will be and up and down the whole way through. The hotel is very charming, and the room was spacious for my needs. The staff is very attentive and helpful when you need them.

The hotel is located on a very busy cafe and shopping street so access to local facilities was very convenient. Because it's busy it can be a bit noisy at night, but not unlike other cities. We got used to it and enjoyed the position and the amazing view of the Galata. The room was very comfortable and spacious with good storsge and a FANTASTIC shower! Other parts of Istanbul were easily reached by walking, ferries, or trams. I highly recommend a stay here and book a room with a balcony so you can soak it all up from high anove!

Perfect for us: clean, comfortable, balcony, good location. Probably not for everyone: stairs to enter and get to the lift, but if you’re mobility impaired, then you wouldn’t stay in this area. Back street lively until the wee hours, so great for people watching, but not good for early sleepers. (Maybe get a front room?) Standard sized room small and toilet could use fan 24hrs, but comfortable bed, good shower and had shampoo etc. No tv, but the street outside was almost as good and internet was adequate. Breakfast menu restaurant down the road was delicious. Fridge in room. 24hr free coffee machine in lobby. Airport transfer convenient and competitive. Staff WONDERFUL! Cannot fault them at all. We would stay again, but I would understand if it didn’t suit everyone.

The Hotel Des Artes in Galata was in a fantastic location. Just steps from the beautiful tower, and so close to many shops, cafés and restaurants. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building, and the rooms are full of cute vintage touches. The staff, especially Siren, we’re all friendly. The breakfast provided was at a café a few steps away, and was excellent.
