We had a wonderful stay at Royan Suites, and a big part of that was thanks to Cem and Ayşe. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly, always ready with a smile and helpful suggestions. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome and at home. The rooms and spaces met our expectations for a boutique hotel and provided the cozy atmosphere we were looking for. The hotel’s convenient location also made it easy to explore Istanbul, adding to the overall experience. What stood out most, however, was the personal touch and care we received from Cem, Ayşe and Ozgur. They elevated our entire Istanbul trip, making it even more memorable and enjoyable. We are grateful for their kindness and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for not just a stay, but a heartfelt experience in Istanbul.

Wonderful Stay

Lovely stay, with wonderful staff and huge, tasty breakfast each day! If you want to be close to your the historic sites, Royan Suites is an excellent option.

We stayed for four nights and absolutely loved this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made our experience exceptional—every single person we interacted with was kind, helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location couldn’t be better if you’re planning to explore Istanbul’s historic heart. The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are just a short walk away, and the surrounding area is filled with fantastic restaurants—many with rooftop patios offering stunning views of the city. A special highlight was the Turkish breakfast served each morning—fresh, delicious, and a perfect start to the day. I’ll definitely be booking here again the next time I’m in Istanbul. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Very close to all the local attractions and some lovely restaurants. The hotel itself was very luxurious and comfortable and the staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful. The best part was the delicious breakfast they make for you each morning. Would 100% stay there again.

Our spacious, modern, and remarkably quiet room was a delightful surprise, considering the contentious staff and the hotel’s sturdy construction. The location was superb, with shopping, restaurants, banks, and historical sites within walking distance. For the first time, we were accommodated in two twin beds instead of a king-size bed, but it turned out to be no issue. The comfortable mattress, bedding, and pillows, coupled with the blackout drapes and the generally quiet ambiance, made it an enjoyable experience. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional team we encountered. They were incredibly kind and generous with their time, always eager to assist us whenever we needed it.

Royan suites is a small hotel and I actually like that it’s small because you receive attentiveness and amazing service from the staff. The hotel is clean and the room that we booked had just the right amount of space that we needed. Our room and bathroom were spotless. The breakfast was amazing and fresh and it was something I looked forward to every morning. Cem was helpful during check in and both Cem and Ayşe were always happy to provide us breakfast in the morning. One thing that stood out to me was when Ayşe asked if we needed our room to be cleaned and i said no, just new towels. When we returned to our room, she tidied up the bathroom and cleaned the floor from hair and trash and provided us with fresh towels. She could have simply just placed new towels but instead, she still provided some cleaning service which I greatly appreciated. During the evening/night, Özgûr was at the front desk and he was super helpful and answered any questions we had. My friend and I enjoyed talking to him as we learned more about the area and the Turkish culture. By check out time, we missed our car seevice by a few minutes, after stepping out for some food. Özgûr contacted our driver and assisted us to the car so we can get to the airport promptly. The staff are simply amazing and super kind. Thank you for your hospitality!

We loved staying really close to all the must see sites of Sultanhamet. Given that, the sound proofing of this hotel is pretty phenomenal. The staff, including Jem and Augusthan (apologies if spelling is wrong!) are wonderful people. They took such good care of us and the resident cat, Dodo is adorable.

Fantastic hotel! The staff are extremely friendly and the lobby and hotel rooms are modern and furnished beautifully. Loved everything about our stay, especially the hotel cat Dodo. :) Highly recommend to anyone staying in the Sultanahmet area, super walkable to the major sites and public transit. 10/10, would happily stay again.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the location is excellent in the heart of old town Istanbul, very close to the principal attractions. There are pet cats on the premises, very cute but also good to be aware of if you’re allergic. The free breakfast is wonderful and enormous. The only real downside was that despite being a VIP Access hotel, the staff didn’t seem to know anything about the Expedia program and I received none of the Platinum benefits, no room upgrade or anything else for that matter

A perfect gem of a small hotel

Check in was really easy, the staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful. The room was really lovely - big, clean and well stocked with everything you might need. The big bed was amazingly comfy so we slept really well and we appreciated the comfortable couch too. Linens were changed daily if required. The breakfast was fresh, very tasty and prepared with care. Although the hotel is on a busy street it's situated really close to parks and squares and the area felt very safe. The Blue Mosque and Haga Sophia are only 2 streets away. We really enjoyed our stay at Royan Suites and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. There is no lift but I believe there's a ground floor room available. Thanks for looking after us and making our stay in Istanbul so welcoming and comfortable.

Wonderful boutique hotel and made my 3-day stay in Istanbul feels like home. Staffs are super friendly, room is spacious, bed is comfy, bathroom is clean, internet is reliable and the room I stayed in was really quiet. The pictures online are pretty accurate. The hotel has no elevator, but staffs helped with my luggage. Breakfast is really good, but I kind of wished there are more diversities in fruits and veggies day to day. Restaurants nearby are expensive since this is an area only tourists stay, but I feel safe walking around at night. It takes less than 10 minutes walking to main attractions nearby. If you only stay for a few days to visit, and wants to avoid other people at the nearby tourist attractions and get a head start of the day, this would be an ideal stay.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and informed that we had been upgraded to a room with a private garden. This was a delightful surprise and set the tone for the rest of our stay. The private garden was a serene retreat, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. The highlight of our stay was the thoughtful birthday celebration organized for my mom. The staff surprised her with a beautiful birthday cake, a heartfelt song, and an assortment of fresh fruits and tea. This personal touch made her day incredibly special and is something we will always cherish. The joy on her face was priceless, and it was clear that the team at Royan Suites genuinely cared about making her birthday memorable. The rooms are both luxurious and comfortable.
