The room was a typical beach hotel - missing bathroom cabinet door, sketchy dishes and cookware, but it had a stove, microwave and frig - very handy, and the property was beautiful! Beach was close, everything was locked and safe, pool was refreshing, and bars and souvenirs were at the top of the pathway. I SAW A BIG CAT! While sitting on my porch! Maybe a jaguar, not sure, but like 40 feet away! It was amazing! Check if souvenirs were made in CR or China...hotel staff was friendly, although we spoke little Spanish and they spoke little English. TV was a little hard to understand, but finally found many channels in English. Close to MANY day trips! Try the Sealounger! Highlite of our trip! Most will pick you up! No laundromats, but places will do your wash by the kilos. About 7 days wash for 2 people was about $30. Cleaned & folded. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a small grocery store nearby. We had our own porch with a ceiling fan. It was lovely and it truly was a tropical garden. Many iguanas, which were cool. Had a friendly stray cat meet me each night. We spent 8 nights and I would recommend. Not ritzy, but homey and close to everything you want or need.

Hotel Tropical Garden is really the perfect apart style hotel to stay at when visiting dreamy C.R. The property is lush, gated, has a great pool, with bbq area under a roof, also with common area great for relaxing. Efficiency apartment style rooms paired throughout the property are perfect. The location is perfect because the beach -with private gate access- is 100m away while the convenience of main st is 100m the other way. Bonus that Koko restaurant is a great place to eat and watch sunsets. The side street this is all located on has street lights so no it is not some dark alley as I previously saw in some review. It is relatively quiet considering Jaco is a party every night kind of town. I highly recommend. Maybe only drawback is staff has very limited English, but translator apps solve that. Oh, they provide secure parking onsite for your car which is also a great amenity for peace of mind.

Loved it here! Close to everything, yet quiet and the beautiful landscape provided much needed shade after a day of surfing. The staff was very accommodating and even allowed us early check in after taking a red eye. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking was secure in a locked gate. We didn’t have a key to our gate as we were in overflow. We found the attendant to get out. Backing out was very tight but most places are in Costa Rica. Nice location. You can walk everywhere. The grounds are nice. Lots of iguanas and and birds. Loud fire works late and into the morning on Saturday. Sunday was a quieter sleep. Beds were comfortable.

très bonne emeplacement

Très bon rapport qualité-prix pour le secteur. L’hôtel est situé à proximité de la plage et de toutes les commodités, ce qui est très appréciable. Le seul petit reproche, mais cela reste personnel, concerne les matelas : ils sont beaucoup trop mous à mon goût.

I booked a hotel onhotel.com and when we got to the hotel to check in, there was no one there. The office was closed and there was no way to contact anybody to get our room. I’m also deeply aggravated with hotels.com. They did not help me out with refunding my money.

The people who work here are wonderful and helpful. Today as I was leaving, a workman there helped me by taking my walker down two treacherous steps and loading my junk in the rental car. The two steep steps leading into the unit need a ramp that can be put over the steps for walkers or wheelchairs. This is true for the steps to the pool, as well. Car parking is behind locked gates and beach access is too. Keys are given to clientele so there is no problem with safety or egress. This is a great site! The tropical birds are not shy in the morning and their songs can either gently wake you up or soothe you right back to sleep!

The lighting was terrible in my unit.The main room of my two bedroom unit had no light.At night,i just got use to a dark room.I mentioned it to the staff and they just smiled and walked away.They have made some renovations but it is an old tired property
