This bright, contemporary condo in Jacó is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a small family beach vacation. The beach is just steps away while dining out is made easy with four restaurants on the resort property and various other options in town. Surfing is a popular activity in the area, while hiking, mountain biking, and road biking are all possible at Miro Mountain, just four miles south. For additional outdoor fun, Carara National Park is only 20 miles north, the perfect spot for wildlife viewing and birdwatching.

Inside, you'll find a full, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar and an inviting, sunlit living area with a large sectional and a TV. And step outside onto your furnished balcony with coffee or wine in hand to admire beach, ocean, and mountain views. While the location and view of the ocean was wonderful, the condo isn’t in great condition, didn’t feel very clean, and we didn’t have hot water throughout our 4 night stay. The wifi is not good and at times didn’t reach the bedrooms or balcony. When contacting Vacasa about the hot water, they tried asking us to diagnosis the lack of hot water problem ourselves and then failed to communicate any updates as to when and if a maintenance person would be coming to fix the issue. The first time following up, I was told they had come by during the day and fixed the issue… but still no hot water and no communication. The following day I had to follow up three times for someone to finally come out, in which again there was no communication on when anyone would be coming by. Thankfully, we were around for the maintenance team’s visit and they confirmed in person that the hot water was still not working, nor would it be for the remainder of our stay. I do not recommend staying in this condo, regardless of the view and hotel amenities. If anything, book directly through Crocs or try to find a difference condo not managed by this owner / Vacasa.

Crocs is a very nice resort right on the beach with soft sand and great vibes. The room came with everything you need for a short or long stay - two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, laundry room, and a balcony with an amazing view of the ocean. There’s also large floor to ceiling windows in both bedrooms and the master bedroom has a sliding door so you can listen to the waves crashing all night. The resort itself has a very nice pool for anyone, including children. It felt very safe inside. We traveled with two young children. The parking lot could be more secure though. We left our luggage in the rental car for a few hours after we arrived and swam in the pool before checking in. When we went back for it the alarm was set off as if someone tried to open the door and probably got scared away. According to locals petty theft is common in Jaco. But all-in-all the room and the resort are very nice. I would come back to this place again.

Great location, CROC's is a great facility we really enjoyed, condo is a little dated but OK. VACASA property management we did not enjoy so much. Property was neglected, air return vent filters had not be changed in months in the kitchen. The pull string on the fan in the master bedroom was broken so the speed of the fan could not be adjusted. So my cousin needed the AC turned down so she could be comfortable at night. We requested a fan, told one would be delivered, never arrived in our 10 day stay. Also the condo was not stocked with enough toilet paper (TP) for two people to make it through the full stay. VACASA folks said we needed to buy our own if the starter supply was not enough. At 166 a night, they couldn't afford to supply TP so we customers had to search out and find a grocery store for one more roll of paper to make it through our stay? VACAS practices PURA VIDA (the pure life), the bad kind. After experiencing the good kind of PURA VIDA (service above self) from many Tico's and Tica's during our stay throughout Jaco, this bad kind of Pura Vida, was jaring and very off putting. If you don't mind no service, this place is great. I could live with it going into it blind, but I wouldn't go back if I knew VACAS was managing the property. If you do mind purely no service, don't use VACASA to manage your PURA VIDA stay in Jaco or at Croc's. Pay to stay at the Croc's resort, yes it costs more but I bet you will not run into the issues we had with VACASA.

Condo at croc’s resort

Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath condo on 10th floor of Croc’s resort. Very nice towels and bedding. Three smart tv’s in unit, but WiFi was not strong enough to support streaming. Condo hooked up to Croc’s guest wifi and did not have its own wifi. Otherwise, great stay!

Great for a getaway!

Overall, this place was everything we needed. Very spacious and clean, exactly as described in the listing. The resort has tons to offer and their service was excellent. Prime location and the beach was better than expected. A few watchouts: the wifi isn't great (esp not for working remotely), you can't adjust the AC temp so it's usually freezing inside, the master shower makes a loud screeching sound that is very annoying, the Vacasa managers were slow to respond to issues on the weekend, and some of the bedsheets didn't fit so be prepared for those to come off if you move too much. But all that being said, it was still fantastic otherwise and a great value for the money.

Crocs is very nice. Love the casino and pool. It is in a quiet, very cool area of north Jaco. The staff are friendly and helpful. Croccs restraunts are very good. A little$$, but good. Jaco has some great resteraunts for foodies. There is alot to do. Caught two swordfish.

Had a really great time here. Only real issue was the actual entry into the apt., and i take full blame for it. I was given the code to the lock box, but because the doorknob had a key pad i did not notice the box. The front desk took care of the issue and we were good to go. The pool is great, beach is right there and we only tried to walk to town once. Too hot and we went back for the car…

Very impressive resort, very clean property and the pool is so relaxing with a beautiful design. Staff was Always willing to help and there very friendly. I think the location was perfect being on the end of town making the beach very private. Highly recommend this resort.

Hot and sticky

Attention VRBO, Roger Obando,and Vacasa I have emailed Roger and I have spoken to Vasca management about issues and to no avail have they been resolved. I am referring to the air condition system working below the standard (83 agrees) the living room TV does not work in conjunction with the mismatch remotes and does not get American channels. When making the reservation I specifically asked if I would be able to receive American news channels and I was told by Roger’s yes. In addition the fans do not work correctly and only off work at a low speed. I’ve requested fans until this matter is resolved and it is now Saturday and I have received nothing. I must shower multiple times per day because it is so hot On another note, When I made this reservation I read all the fine print and it was clear that there was not a guest fee incorporated with this unit I then verified via email with Roger as well My girlfriend Kim arrive last night at approximately 9:30 PM and our experience was not pleasant! We were told different stories from multiple different people. They said we needed to send her ID therefore we did email by the crocs front desk to Roger however still no reply. Then we were forced to pay $50 guest fee or they would not let my girlfriend into our unit. They then told me it would be refundable once they confirm with Roger. Shortly after somebody else told me a different story that it would not be refundable. Please straighten this matter out ASAP so I do not have more diff

The Perfect Getaway in Jaco!

This rental unit is located at the Crocs Resort. It was the perfect getaway for two married couples. Just a short walk from the Jaco strip, the resort is private, peaceful and gated. The amenities are terrific! There are restaurants on the resort, a bar and a coffee bar, if you're looking for pastries or a caffeine fix. The swimming pool is top notch! It is also located right on the beach. This unit has a 1st class view of the pool area and the ocean, and is a wonderful place to watch sunsets. Roger was helpful and always promptly responded when I had questions. I would highly recommend this rental!

Crocs is great. They were a little short staffed, meaning they didn't have a front drive guy to get you cabs. Overall a very nice place to stay. It's our 3rd time there. Sorry to see the live crocodile gone.

This property is a great rental spot overall. The price was good, and the view was amazing. My issues lies with an electrical issue in one of the rooms. The light switch and the outlets in one side if the room does not work, we were only able to use the night stand light for lighting in the room and was unable to watch the tv due to the fact that the outlet on the side the tv was plugged into did not work. I sent an email to the property manager who advised that the issue would be addressed but the issue was never resolved. Other than that we had a great stay at this property.
