Staff were super friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the front desk staff! I usually don't like hotels, but this really is an exception. It is very peaceful and quiet and next to a river. It feels like you are still in nature, with the benefits of a hotel. Breakfast is very good! We ended up extending our stay here :)

Safety felt like a concern here. Was very isolated and our room was missing the swing bar door lock, not to mention, the bathroom window was left open and unlocked. Slept uneasy. Another big issue was the hotel staff sanitation procedures (or lack of). The breakfast Buffett attendant, made our food, cleaned other areas, all with the same pair of gloves, not changing once. And I saw them standing with the gloved hand in their mouth (biting the nails). I was in shock and immediately stopped eating when I realized they were not compliant with sanitation guidelines.

The location was very nice! Quiet and relaxing yet only a short 4-5 minute drive from the beach, bars, restaurants, tours etc. the staff was super friendly and making sure to take care of whatever we needed. DJ the manager was amazing!!! Always on top of everything and made sure we never needed anything. The hotel offered laundry service which was very nice. Will definitely be booking there again and highly recommend it!

Incredible stay. The staff were kind and amazing, Alfredo from the front desk was so friendly! At breakfast time, they made the best omlettes, waffles or pancakes on the spot for you! The view was absolutely stunning, the swimming pool was great. Zero complaints, fantastic stay. I would recommend this to any tourist! Beautiful cozy location. The pool was the best I’ve ever seen. The outdoor spa is amazing. Enjoyed a Massage with the sounds of the jungle and the stream just a few feet away. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The restaurant offers delicious food and drinks. I highly recommend this place. It’s phenomenal.

We received a very warm welcome when we checked in to Pumilio Mountain and Ocean Resort. Lots of perks due to my Expedia account status. The room was big, beautiful, super comfortable. There was a lovely pool and lounge area, and what appeared to be a popular and luxurious spa. The room rates in early November are very reasonable. This was an excellent choice for the Jaco area and I’d gladly stay here again

I really wanted to love this boutique hotel. The concept and vibe had so much potential, but my experience was little disappointing. I booked the room for a birthday retreat for my partner months in advance and I reached out early to plan surprised decorations. I spoke with the Manager Teejay and he gave me packages to choose from During my stay, there were visible termite droppings scattered around. At first we thought it was spider eggs because there were so many spider webs in the room. When I brought it to the manager’s attention, he claimed it was just “wood dust” from termites biting at the wood. It was clearly not, it was obviously droppings. It was so much droppings that the room had to be cleaned daily. On top of that, I paid one fifty for birthday decorations that were underwhelming and not worth the price at all. The balloons weren’t blown up all the way and there was no design on the cake like I requested. I’ve purchased a decoration package before at a hotel and it was way more detailed and custom for cheaper. To make up for it, we were offered one free meal, which honestly didn’t come close to fixing the situation. Although appreciated, we were still left unsatisfied with the outcome. I also tried to escalate the issue by contacting a different manager via Airbnb, but the same manager, Teejay, who mishandled things responded again so there was no real resolution. Instead he tried to use the free dinner and wine, which was already included in my Expedia package.
