The Jardin des plantes, also known as the jardin des plantes de Paris when distinguished from other jardins des plantes in other cities, is the main botanical garden in France. . It was designed and planted by Guy de La Brosse, the physician of the king in 1626 as a medicinal herb garden for King Louis XIII. . Paris’ 24-hectare botanic gardens – visually defined by the double alley of plane trees that run the length of the park – are an idyllic spot to stroll around, break for a picnic (watch out for the automatic sprinklers!) and escape the city concrete for a spell. Positive comment: The location is great, you can find hundreds of bars and restaurant close by. A supermarket is just opposite to the hotel! Easy access to the closest metro station. Feeling safe in that area as there are many other hotels too! Room to improve: The hotel room is ridiculously small, especially the bathroom. 2 persons could open luggage at the same time. There's a restaurant just 20m far from the hotel, noise problem at night concerned us a bit. In general: I would still recommend this hotel to my friends.
