Hope you like weeds.
Richard and his wife were very nice and helpful. Only $25 to rent jon boat with trolling motor and battery. The lake is all weeds. Can not fish any baits that are not weedless. Pretty good fishing though. I found a lot more cabins that were nicer with TV, own bathroom/shower but the cleaning fees were a lot more.

Great getaway
This trip was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle. My wife and I brought our 17 year old for a few nights and loved it. Wi-Fi is hit and miss which made us unplug for the most part and it was a blessing. Richard has put so much thought and detail into bringing a Florida beach vibe to these cabins. Sherry has made sure you have every thing you need to make your experience a good one. They live right on the lake and are very accommodating. One of our best trips ever. We will be back soon!!

Best VRBO ever!
We come every year. Sometimes we think we'll visit the park near Jasonville...but we never leave the cabin and the lake. We spend days without electronics, fishing, kayaking, playing, and never have to leave the property!

Perfect Spot for Family Glamping
We had so much fun at this VRBO. Everything was clean and the owners were very responsive. There was plenty to do to keep us busy for a weekend. It was a great “camping” experience with the convenience of utilities/electric/beds. I was also surprised to find that we were able to get cell phone service. Thanks for sharing your fantastic property with us!

Great time
We had a great time visiting and enjoying the lake. It was beautiful and my water bugs children wanted to be in it non stop. Just plug your nose when you go down the pontoon boat slide. Great time!

We had a wonderful couple days! The hospitality was great. Our cabin was perfect for us and we had everything we needed! My only wish was that the bank was clear of seaweed so we had more area to fish. But we will be back with our children very soon!

It’s was such a great place to relax! The owners were pleasant and very helpful! We loved it! The girls loved the kayaking and swimming! They even caught several fish! Everything was very convenient with hot showers and cool sleeping with the air conditioner! Definitely recommend!

Family getaway to recharge

I had the most wonderful week at Beach Comber. The area is very peaceful and the water is crystal clear. The amenities were more than I expected and the hosts went above and beyond to ensure your stay was everything that you expected and more. I hike 3 State Parks the week I stayed and Turkey Run was by far my favorite.

This place was perfect!
This was a perfect little getaway! The lake was a good size. The kayaks and Jon boat were a great addition. The hospitality was amazing! It was a little hot the 1st couple days so the fish were hiding, but after a rainy night we caught quite a few 15”-16” large mouth bass. The kids also really enjoyed the oasis pad and pontoon slide. We will definitely return!

Awesome place! Great hosts! Very relaxing, yet fun and exiting.
Nice private area. Kayaking and fishing was fun. Night time fires and cooking on the cowboy pit was very relaxing and rustic. The lake is crystal clear and has no odor. The mosquitos were almost non existent. We will be back!

a paradise in the middle of nowhere
This was such a great and unexpected find. Awesome owners of this little paradise in Indiana. We stayed in a canvas-cabin with our two kids. It got a little warm inside, and the portable ac had a hard time keeping up during the day - but it was near 100 degrees and after all we had a canvas roof... that did not impact our experience much. The place is wonderful! The lake, kayaks, sand, outdoor showers, hammocks, indoor decor - all perfect. We had everything we needed and more! Inside a sink, fridge, cooking and eating dishes galore! Outdoors is a blacktop propane grill, and a fire pit with all cooking attachments. There are four places to rent - two canvas cabins and 2 tiny home style cabins. they're close enough together where you know that you''re sharing the lake with others, but far enough apart where you have the privacy you desire. The lake has plenty of fish, and seaweed (lakeweed?) but that didn't stop any of us from swimming and enjoying the crystal clear water. Kayaks were awesome - they have kids sizes too! we towed our 5 year old before he mastered kayaking on his own. Each canvas cabin has its own outdoor running toilet and outdoor shower (in two separate places_) - so no need to wait on other "campers" for either. Our kids were fully entertained (3 yr and 5 yr) for the 4 days that we stayed without us doing much - so much so that I read 2... yes 2 books - any moms out there with littles' know how impossible that sounds!. Great fishing!. I can't get over how perfect this place is, and you wouldn't expect a Florida feel in the middle of Indiana. We will DEFINITELY be back - and soon!

We loved the setting by the lake, the decor and all the outdoor sitting areas. Very nicely done. We enjoyed grilling steaks over the fire pit and making pancakes and eggs on the grill in the morning. Unfortunately we chose the hottest weekend of the year for our stay so that took away from the fun for us, but that wasn't anyone's fault.

Hidden gem
I wish I could give ten stars...this place was perfect. They've gone above and beyond for the ultimate glamping experience! Hot water, clean toilets, providing all the kitchen utensils and cast iron for fire cooking....gadgets for cooking, propane griddle...the list goes on and on. We were terrible at catching any fish...we each caught a small one...but our neighbors who knew more caught some nice sized bass! We spent the time enjoying family. We fished, played games, kayaked forever, rented the job boat. We plan on coming to this hidden gem of a campsite again and again!! And the owners were so kind and available for any needs!

Everything about this proper is amazing! Total relaxation! The hosts are the best! We had such a great time unplugging from the world, paddle boarding on the beautiful lake, s’mores by the campfire, yoga near the lake and enjoying life!

Lovely getaway
We had a wonderful experience. Even our one year old enjoyed our stay. Not having cell phone service was a blessing in disguise (sprint). Having access to the kayaks whenever we wanted was an amazing perk that we definitely took advantage of. Being right by the water was so peaceful and serene. We wanted to enjoy camping with the luxury of running water and electricity since it was our first time "glamping" with our little one. The amenities that were provided exceeded our expectations. I definitely recommend bug spray which for us was to be expected. Over all, we had a lovely and much needed getaway. We definitely plan to stay again! Sisters Weekend
It was such a peaceful place to stay, just what us sisters needed. I will definitely be back. It was a little warm in the cabin with the portable air conditioner, but it was 90 outside. I caught the biggest fish I have ever caught. It is a really nice setup, the kayak's were a bonus.

Superb host facilities and location.
It rained almost the entire time there but the accommodations and especially the host made it one of our family's most enjoyable vacations and most memorable ever. I took my 8 grand children and they had a blast. If you have kids I highly recommend this secluded, peaceful and enchanting camp.

Amazing Stay!
Our stay at the Beach Comber was the most relaxing weekend I've had in a long time! The cottage is set on a small lake with 4 cottages and the owner's home. The cottage is situated so you cannot see any other cottage from the front. You feel like you have the lake to yourself. We loved kayaking! It looks just like the pictures. The hosts were very friendly! We would love to go back!!

Relaxing get away
My wife and I only stayed here for a couple of nights but we wish we could have stayed longer! Such a beautiful location, and the fishing on the lake was great! It was a picture perfect site to sit by the fire and watch the sun set over the lake. We were greeted with friendliness and over whelming hospitality the second we arrived! We will definitely be back next summer only this time with our friends and family!

After the first day we contacted Richard and Sherry to see if we could stay an extra night! This place is exactly as shown in the pictures, and the reviews are spot on when it comes to the owners... they are remarkable. You will enjoy all the amenities, the quiet, natural environment, the charming tent cottages, tiny houses, and surroundings; Richard and Sherry have an eye for details and are made to do this, perfect in every way. We will back be again and again and again.
