My sister and I had a weekend get away w/ our parents and this was perfect! The “treehouse” was clean, good space and had everything we needed! Small but cozy place! The 4 of us were more than comfortable. Would highly recommend ! The owners were quick to respond too.

The property was nice and had everything we needed. We only had to bring groceries so we could relax and stay in. It’s a Mexican restaurant near by and the food was delicious. We will be back and bringing the rest of the family.

Great little place!
My husband and I booked this stay for our anniversary. Our plan was to fish but we ended up spending a lot of time in the cabin due to the rain. The cabin itself was just what we needed. Everything you need is provided. The Host is very friendly and super helpful. The beds were comfortable and we LOVED the windows. The 1st part of the path to the cabin is a little uneven so if you are unsure of your footing, I'd pick the other cabin from this host. It wasnt an issie for us so 10/10 rating in our book. We absolutely plan to book again.

Beautiful and clean getaway
The treetopper was so clean and nicely decorated, we felt at ease immediately when we arrived. The owners had a full binder of information about the property and surrounding area, as well as instructions for using the TV and other things around the house. We had planned to do some hiking during our weekend stay, but the weather was too cold and wet, so we just stayed in and were so comfortable inside that we didn't mind bad weather at all! We really appreciated the attention to detail - cleanliness, well-stocked necessities, the binder, and decor! And the view was gorgeous. Overall this was a super easy stay with good options for activities and food not far away. Perfect for our lowkey weekend away!

Mountain Paradise
Name of the cottage perfectly describes our experience! We have stayed at several places in Big Canoe, but this is by far the cleanest and coziest of all.

115 Treetop Knoll
The property is nice and clean, but it is very remote and hard to find. The directions were good, but we still got lost when coming home in the dark. Big Canoe does not have streetlights or lit signs at night, and many of the streets have similar names, not the owner’s fault. The shuttle for a wedding couldn’t find us, so we had to drive ourselves and come back at night.

I'm sorry you got lost. Big Canoe is a wildlife sanctuary, no they don't have streetlights. They do give every guest a map at the gate, but still some people get lost. We provide detailed directions to the cabins also..

Heaven on earth
We enjoyed our stay in the cozy treetop cabin. Cabin was clean and described accurately The information notebook was very helpful. Communication with property owner was prompt. Will definitely stay at this property again

A Mountain Retreat
An extremely well maintained and clean cabin. The online listing was spot-on. The bedrooms were comfortable and well stocked with sheets and blankets. The kitchen was supplied with all the basics necessary for preparing meals. In short, we enjoyed our weeks stay and would certainly give it an A+ rating.

Great place
Very cute place but I felt it was a bit pricey for what was offered. Yes it was clean and the pictures were accurate but it was very small and the kitchen was about the size of a New York studio. If you are planning on staying for extended period of time with your family, the kitchen would not be big enough. The beds were comfortable but the hot water in the shower ran out very quickly. I would say it had about 5-7 minutes of hot water before it started to run out. So if you are planning on taking turns showering with someone, the second person will have to take and ice cold shower. It was great for us because we only stayed 2 nights for a wedding so no meals needed to be cooked at the cabin. Owner was very nice and the cleanliness was amazing. I would pay up and get a bigger place if staying with a family.

Could not access property safely
We did NOT stay. You should have our complaint on file. The uneven ground with old railroad ties and steep gravel made it unsafe for use to traverse.

Peaceful, gorgeous and love the atmosphere. The people we ran into were friendly and kind. I recommend the cabin and Big Canoe to everyone who needs to take timeout from your regular week. Carl the owner was very helpful and appreciable.

Bright and cozy cabin in the treetops
This was my second time renting a cabin from Carl and Tania and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. The cabin is clean, well cared for and has everything in it to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The floor to ceiling windows offer so much light and you feel like you are outside, amongst the trees. It's fabulous! Carl, the host, came by to make sure all was well and he was a wealth of information regarding things to do in the area. Unfortunately as I was leaving the cabin to go home, my car wouldn't start. I contacted Carl and Tania and within minutes Carl came by to give my car a jump and get me on my way home. He even sent me a text later that evening to make sure I got home ok. So not only do they take good care of their cabins for their renters, they are also good and caring people. I highly recommend their rentals to anyone! Thanks Carl and Tania! I will be back.

Treetop cabin at Big Canoe
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in April 2023 while visiting family in the area. Beautiful place, very clean just like the pictures! Perfect place for a couple. Quiet - Gated community with many trails, marina, golfing, pool, restaurants. Would recommend!

My impression
Big Canoe is really impressive. As a first time guest, I suggest you make a lot less cluttered map, with the major roads made larger. Next, make the next largest a little smaller etc. Just an easy to follow map of the roads. Have the large roads comprise two lines with the names spelled out inside the lines so as not to clutter the map. When new guests arrive, spend more time with them going over the map, and then trace the directions neatly inside the road lines. We stayed frustrated for 2 days trying to navigate your roads. More signage would help especially where there are major junctions. The cabin was very clean..hats off to your house cleaners. The coffee maker was real cheap. It didn't even have cup markings on the bowl, and the coffee was lukewarm. There were no reading lamps, but I find that every where I go. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice, but the main room needed maybe another small sofa against the window if possible. With a sofa and one relaxing chair, that will only accommodate 3 people, but the 4th has no where to sit. I realize the space is small. Otherwise, the treetop we stayed in was very comfortable. Reading lamps are a must as the lighting was too subdued Thank you John M McCain

Tree Top Experience
Everything I wanted for a Cabin in the woods. The Cabin has Beautiful views and very clean. Went hiking and climbing in the mountain . To get a better view of a waterfall we climbed over 600 steps to get the best view. Good experience

Loved this little place. In a big community, but still had wonderful views. Just enough room for the 3 of us. Loved the windows all around. The only complaint is that is the house is a good ways into the gated community and the directions got a little confusing going in. But we had it mastered by the time we left. Hope to stay again in the future.

Cozy Treetop Cabin
I booked this for a brief winter getaway. Nestled in the north Georgia mountains at treetop level, this cabin was delightfully cozy and comfy. Great place to hang out on cold winter days and yet close enough to go into Atlanta for concerts and take a winter hike along the many trails available in Big Canoe. The cabin was clean and convenient and everything was just as expected. Would definitely stay here again. available

Perfect little get away, just what we needed!
We enjoyed the cabin and the surroundings in spite of the weather. Very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back in better weather to enjoy the amenities. The only thing that was missing for us was some sort of speaker like a JBL or something similar, we like to listen to music while we cook or have a drink but but we made do without it. Overall we had a great time!

Beautiful location
This cabin was very very clean and well stocked. My mom and I enjoyed it so much. Felt like we were in the trees. Nice wrap around deck. Very relaxing. The location was very close to shops and restaurants as well.

Breathtaking view
