“Could be my favourite hotel. Ever. The staff(owners) are lovely. Gave a tour of the wine cellar which was SPECTACULAR! Like a cathedral. The decor was brilliantly done. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was beautifully decorated w all new fixtures. The garden patio was out of a movie. Beds were king size and perfect. I have never stayed in a hotel with more attention to detail. And the town is the most perfect medieval town I have seen in France. We had dinner at Henri IV square……

“The staff were very helpful and friendly. The single person room was spacious (even though we added an extra person) and very clean. The air conditioning was exceptionally appreciated as our stay was during a heatwave. Breakfast was brilliant- locally sourced goods, homemade cakes, lots of choice. Well worth the 16€. Our one piece of feedback would be the lack of shower- there was a bath with a very low shower head and no shower curtain. It would have been nice to have been told at time of……

“Stop looking and stay here! Fabien’s hospitality made it so worth it. Met us upon arrival, very clear instructions and he brought us a fresh breakfast in the morning. Flat has everything a family of 4 (two young teen kids) could need. The location couldn’t be better, minutes away from historic sites and amazing food options. No street noise. Can’t say enough about how great the stay was, will return and stay here again, without hesitation. Merci Fabien!”

“The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The restaurant was good. However there is nothing else around. We were on our way to La Rochelle and it was a good stop off point for one night. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Parking very easy and just of the autoroute”

“We booked 2 twin rooms through expedia and when we arrived we were told that only one room was booked Two of us had to get a single room at an extra cost of just under 30 euros each I spoke to the manager the next morning and he is blaming expedia and told me i must ring them to get a refund I feel like i have been fobbed off”

“Sadly we didn't get to spend much time around the hotel as we had so much planned, however it was in a beautiful setting and the morning continental breakfast was lovely. The family room we booked felt a little tired in places and could do with a little TLC/maintenance just to bring it back up to standard. There was half a curtain missing in the living room, which we'd been told was fixed when we came back in the evening, but it was still missing. In the end we managed to pull the outdoor……

“Excelente atención, te hacen sentir en casa, Alix nos dio muy buenos consejos para visitar, el desayuno excelente, nos hubiera gustado Talvez un poco de algo salado, el jugo fresco y las mermeladas caseras con pan francés, increíbles! La zona es hermosa y la casa muy bien cuidada! Alix nos mostró la casa y nos contó su historia. Disfrutamos mucho la estancia ”
