"Excellent place to stay for Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Not sure why VRBO wanted to know about skiing. There is a lake near by and Ober Mountain has downhill skiing in the winter. This cabin is close to everything. Quiet, valley view off balcony. We had a special bear visitor and this made our week. Excellent cabin for the two of us. Also, excellent layout for two small families. Both bedrooms are spacious. One upstairs and one downstairs. Easy access to all of Dollywood parks. "

"The water park is half the size of the wilderness. The mattresses were not up to standard for $225 a night. First day could not get a float for the lazy river, and we paid the same rate on Sunday as we did for Saturday and couldn't check in until 3.The sheets were scratchy and the blankets were Motel 6 horrible! The pull out bed had a paper thin "pad" which allowed all the metal to poke you. I had booked a poolside view but didn't receive that. Paying 450 for 2 nights these amenities should have been luxurious. We will go back to The Wilderness next time as they did have them including down blankets for less cost! Also most activities require a pass that is $30 per child so tack on an additional $120. Very disappointed."

Margaritaville Island Hotel

"The hotel was so nice, clean, convenient, and had great amenities, with choices of views, multiple bars/eateries, coffee shop, rooftop pool overlooking the Island and water show. The rooms had everything we needed and even an in-room jacuzzi tub. We were able to access the hotel from various places in the island(very helpful when super hot or in sudden rain showers. The valet service was quick and very convenient."

"Very disappointed in the noise. People on floor 7 and on our floor 6 were very loud. Not much insulation or sound deadening used during construction. You could see light coming through door frame to hallway. We were in building two. Not sure if main building was built any better. Gym didn't open until 0900. Not helpful if you are a morning workout person. Slides were closed most of the time during the day until 3pm. Very odd schedule. Checkin took over 20 minutes. Only one front desk person."

"Our room seemed to be very clean.....until my husband took off his shoes and walked across the room a few times. Later I noticed his socks were quite dirty. He put them on clean that morning and we knew it had to be the floor in the room. Also, the breakfast was not very good. The eggs were cold. The area to fix waffles was always full of kids making waffles. The people in the office were not very attentive at all. It was not awful, but we will not stay there again."
