Great location in downtown Jerusalem

This property has the potential to be a 5 star top property; the location is incredible - just 10 mins walk to the Jaffa Gate, and the old city, and 5 mins walk to the bars and restaurants of the modern city. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. There is a balcony. But we gave it 3 ½ stars not 5 as it needs better maintenance; the listing advertises a dishwasher. There is no dishwasher (and there wasn't even a scrubby or a cloth to clean the surfaces or dishes with by hand!). The listing advertises a washing machine, which wasn't working when we arrived and it took 3 visits by various 'fix it' folks to get it going. The only lamp in the apartment (in the bedroom) had a smashed bulb. (To be fair, they replaced that instantly when we told them). None of the wall lights in the living room were working (Blown bulbs?), the shower in the bathroom only worked with the hand held bit as the knob to turn it to the overhead shower outlet was broken. You get the picture. The place needs some love and care to bring it to the amazing place it could be. And a thorough clean wouldn't hurt.
