“Room and and rest of property was clean as could be(wife's #1priority). Beach theme and colors of room were perfect. Balcony in room 320 had a view of the pier and ocean. Bed was firm- good for some people not for others. Pillows not the best but okay, bring your own if it matters. Kitchen was a great extra with a full size refrigerator and nice size dining room table. Didn't get to use the pool but looked in and seemed wonderful. “I am not sure how this property received a 10/10 by so many travelers. The photos and reviews for this hotel were very deceiving. I will say that it is an extremely convenient location, directly behind Playland, but that also makes it an extremely loud location. The other positive was that we only stayed one night, and therefore had the ability to use the pool and two decently equipped showers on the last day. Aside from that, I would not stay here again. The exterior is very poorly……

“When we got to our room I noticed there was a shower cap covering the smoke detector and the room had a musty smell. In hind sight I should have just asked for a new room, but when I checked in they said the hotel was fully booked, so I didn’t think it would be possible. The pool was nice for my kids, but there were really rowdy and loud kids in the pool past 10 pm screaming and kicking a soccer ball all throughout the walkway by our door. The renovations are nice, however it is an older hotel……

“You can only check in online, including uploading pictures of your license and credit card. If you use Expedia to book, the check-in process can be a problem. The room was clean. The property was being upgraded. Close to the boardwalk. Nice pool. Free parking. The staff responded pretty quickly to questions. There were, however, several problems. Room sleeps 4 with 2 queen beds. There were no dressers or shelves for clothes, only one suitcase stand. There was nowhere to put clothes. The bedside……
