"Our room was on the ground floor as we didn't want to carry bags up flights of stairs. On arrival, the reception desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious (Elms Wing Room) and the bed comfy. Our bathroom was an accessible one (though we didn't need accessibility) but it had one dim light and no heating apart from that provided to the main bedroom so it was a bit cold. There was no flat surface to put things on apart from a narrow glass shelf. It really needs a table or vanity. There was plenty of body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as hand cream but only 3 tissues left in the box. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious with a set deal of either two courses or three. The scallops for entree were beauifully cooked, my seafood bisque had one piece of each type of seafood which looked small but was very filling and came with toasted sourdough to mop up the sauce. Dessert was a sort of lemon meringue pie with a different name. It was too sweet for me but very nice flavours. I would recommend the restaurant for dinner. A buffet breakfast was included and was average. It wasn't bad but also wasn't amazing with the usual fare - nothing special. Overall we had a lovely night at Peppers Craigieburn and would stay there again but would love if those small issues in the bathroom could be improved."

"Timbalah is a very spacious house with plenty of room for our family of 5 plus dog. We enjoyed the log fire and the pool table, as well as the quiet location near the national park. It’s a substantial home and well equipped, however there was a damp and musty smell in the downstairs bedrooms and we also encountered a broken door handle (upstairs bathroom), stained carpets, dirty tile grout and broken window blinds that let this property down. For dog owners it’s worth knowing that this property is not fully fenced - unfortunately our dog disappeared into the neighbours backyard a couple of times. With a little love and attention we feel this family house could be described as ‘luxury’ again."
