“Second time at this house , plenty of room for 15.needs some upgrading. Dinning room chairs need cushions, the wood chairs were hard for game board nights, bbq needs to be bigger( party of15 grilling) oven not hot, but had another oven in laundry room. Pool nice n fire pit was great! ”

“My third stay at the cabin was wonderful, as expected. It's a beautiful place surrounded by woods, peaceful, relaxing, and private. It rained all day on one day of my stay, but even that was delightful: I sat on the porch in a comfortable chair and read a book, while listening to the rain. Thanks, as always, to Mr. Fitzgerald for a fabulous retreat.”

“Bear's Retreat was the perfect getaway spot to explore the Raystown Lake area and spend quality time with family and friends in absolutely stunning surroundings. The house itself was definitely spacious enough for a large group and was enjoyed by all, from blowing bubbles on the deck with a 5 yr-old after a day swimming with fish at Tatman's Run Beach to a 62 yr-old hustling everyone else at pool in the rec room. “Beautiful views of the mountains and lake from the house. Lots of space for everyone, we weren't tripping over each other. We cooked in a few times and loved the spacious kitchen. We were left two empty propane tanks for the outside grill. Not what you want to find when your about to start cooking dinner, but went and exchanged one for a full one. Hot tub was relaxing and very clean. Couldn't get over how many eagles that few past the lake side of the house to check on us. Overall a super……

“it was amazing and very private! hot tub had some troubles but overall it was relaxing and would go back!”

“The cabin was great and the view was even better. Everything was excellent from the helpful directions to get there, to the fire pit and well stocked fire starting supplies, and to the kitchen supplies given we did a lot of cooking during our stay. Dog friendly too and my dog loved sitting on the deck and taking in the sights and smells! Highly recommend staying here.”
