“We reserved a King Room with River View through Expedia and upon arrival was informed that there were no River View rooms available. The front desk clerk told us to always call the hotel direct when booking through a third party. We had checked the hotel's website and the River View rooms were available, so we booked. We did accept a City View room with 2 Queen beds. Once in the room quickly discovered the room had recently been smoked in. We can accept the disappointment of not having a room……

“The breakfast was really good. I liked the fact that there were no pets allowed. But the guests were allowed to smoke right outside the main entrance and you could smell it. The place smelled bad from roof leaks. The bedding and pillows were very uncomfortable and the ac did not work very good. The swimming pool was drained and unavailable for use and it was 99 outside. The hotel needs a major remodel”

“First, I thought I booked a king-size bed, but we ended up with a queen-size in a very small room. Your site said there was an elevator but we got there to discover it wasn’t functioning. I managed the stairs, but I do have mobility problems and was frustrated there was no elevator. We didn’t mind the policy of no shoes, but the mat in front of the door was wet from rain, and we ended up with wet socks. The hostess was nice and the breakfast was delicious but we’re overall disappointed in the……

“Walked in and room smelled stale/funny. I was very hesitant on staying there but I tried to really give it a chance. Saw 2 dead roaches but what really took me out was the bathroom. Big spider in the tub with spider web and all but when I ran the water and it came out brown, that was it for me. I was in the hotel about an hour before I checked out and went to another hotel.”

Our host was very pleasant and accommodating and we enjoyed visiting with her. She provided us with a nice breakfast using eggs from her own hens.”
