The Best Budget Inn lives up to its name. The staff member who greeted me for my late arrival at 11:00 pm was very friendly and welcoming. Parking five feet from the door of my room was a real treat. The area was well lit and so I felt secure. Yes, rooms are small. But importantly they are clean, well maintained and thoughtfully decorated with “retro” style mini-fridge, microwave and matching phone - all teal in color. The bed was very comfortable. The only downside was a bit truck traffic and loud car/bike noise at the two lane highway intersection where the hotel is located. I definitely will stay here again when I am passing through the area in the future.

Beautiful lake to walk around by the property, easily accessible. All first floor level or ground level rooms. Just a great place.

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful 1950s decor approprite for route 66. Friendly. Frequently checked in to see if we needed anything. Provided raised seat for toilet with rails to make it safe. Also provided shower handles for safety when we asked if they would consider them for future visits. We appreciated their attention to details for our safety. Special place to stay. Would return here to stay in a heartbeat if I come back here to visit. Wish other hotels would be as friendly and attentive to details. We stayed in several hotels in the last 3 weeks and this one ranked #1!

Very nice and clean. Outstanding staff and super friendly. It may be a little older, but well upkept and clean. Much better than many large chain hotels I have stayed at. 9.9 out of 10 all day long.

I love this property and the host are wonderful people. But upon staying this time they had 2 permanent guest in 2 rooms and I was in the middle of those two he was as rude as they get and the other side was smoking right out front it smelt so bad. I don’t stay where there are permanent people who use the rooms as their forever homes.

Very friendly management, quiet location well away from the interstate, retro Route 66 motel vibe. A little heavy on floral scent for those sensitive to odors, but most people wouldn't mind. A fair value for the price vs. quality in that location. If you're looking for that classic highway motel experience, this should satisfy you.

Quaint little hotel that has an old school style to it. The rooms are decorated as if they were from the 1970's. I loved it. The beds were quite comfortable as well. They are right next to a lake and a river. I need to bring my fishing pole next time.

Trip home from our Oklahoma stay

We were traveling back home to Kentucky from a week long stay in Oklahoma. We decided to spend the night here on Route 66 at this Awesome retro vibe, back in time hotel. The lady at the check in office was very friendly & nice offering us a Great place to eat breakfast at the next morning. The room was very clean & peacefully quiet. We really enjoyed our stay!

The rooms are nicely decorated with nostalgic touches. The property borders Lake Kellogg which is lovely. The noise from the parking lot was the only downside.

It's a nice, clean, well lit older mom and pop motel, decorated with cute, retro-look modern appliances. Staff was very pleasant at check-in.

What a gem! Loved that this was a Route 66 original, and the owners have maintained the quaintness. The room was spotless, and we had all the conveniences we needed.

If I could rate this better than excellent I would. Great price, great hostess, great retro decor, great comfortable bed. Great location. Just GREAT!
