“It has been a long time since I've had such an enjoyable time staying in a hotel and will recommend this place to everyone heading to the Mount Rushmore area. All staff was very helpful and kind. The room was very clean. The beds/pillows were comfortable. The rooms were quiet - we didn't hear any neighbors at all. The bathroom was clean and the shower head was awesome. It was so nice to have the full size pumps of shampoo/conditioner and body wash, but it was really awesome to have the hand soap……

“I will say, the only reason I am not giving this a better rating is because nowhere on the website or when we made the reservation were we told that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovations, and the key amenities we were looking for (namely the swimming pool for our kids, and the hot fresh breakfasts) were not going to be available. I don't care how friendly the staff is, or how nice the rooms, when this level of restriction is not publicized prior to booking, it is an extremely poor look……

“No signage on the outside of the building so I even knew it was the right hotel. The room was nothing like the photo. Room smelled musty and had barely any lighting. Curtains had scratches in the faux velvet. Walls were paper thin and I could hear a screaming baby in the room next door as if they were in my room. Person who checked me in was wearing street clothes with stains all over their shirt and didn’t seem like they were normally at the front desk. I left the card key on the desk and left……

“We stayed at this hotel for five nights and unfortunately had several issues that were never resolved during our stay. The biggest problem was the lack of Wi-Fi in our room. We reported it every day by calling, stopping at the front desk, and even filling out a maintenance request form. Each time we were assured that someone would take care of it, but nothing was ever fixed. In today's world, reliable internet access is as essential as electricity and running water, so this was a major……

“We couldnt check in because the manager never showed up. After waiting outside for almost 2 hours and three phone calls my husband and i ended up leaving and driving the rest of the 6 hours home. I also have current picturea that i want to share because the property today is nothing like what is posted on your website. I would like a refund please because on the third phone call the manager told me he never received my reservation from Expedia and he had issues with Expedia in the past. This……
