「A lovely, relaxed place with superb views of a beautiful wild beach. The house is very clean, comfortable and well set up with everything we needed. We were made to feel very welcome and the baking and tomatoes were amazing, thank you! Highly recommend for a getaway.」

「Nice area, lots to see. We toured around the north island and visited lots of historic and current events and entertainment. Our hosts were available when we needed help and not in our face when we did not. It was a wonderful time and I recommend the place for a nice stay.」

「This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Hobson. The rooms are a little outdated but everything you need is there. The area around the pool is nice. There is laundry on site which was convenient for me. It’s close enough to the shops that you can easily walk downtown. The staff are excellent; friendly & helpful. 」

「Typical 1800's Country Town Pub. Showing wear and tear, but it was a quaint experience. The dining room is the best part of the hotel. Friendly local people. We had a quiet night and slept well in our room. The water is nice and hot, plus ability to boil a jug in the kitchenette.」
