Could use a refresh

The good news is that the Na Hale O Keauhou complex is one of the best in all of Kona. The location is excellent and the complex is perfectly maintained from the landscape to the swimming pool and hottub. We enjoyed our stay at J2 but found it to be a bit outdated. A few examples. The outdoor BBQ is in need of replacement. It can be lit using matches etc but it is difficult to do so. The internal parts have holes in them so the flames can be seen. It is simply time to replace. Another example is the main television. It is a 32" in a cabinet that looks like it survived the Civil War. With no instructions for operation we had difficulty getting it to work. Not everyone that stays there is a Spectrum customer or is familiar with that system. Once again it simply needs to be updated. A modern 4K TV from Costco is simply so cheap it is silly not to have something up to date. Throughout the condo it is simply a matter of updating. Living room fan could not be operated without a missing remote. We were able to make one fan work but not the one with the light. The drapes for the sliding door are very thin and allow the sun to heat the room up even when closed. They are also irritating to use. A simple vertical blind would solve that. That afternoon Kona sun is hot and direct. Would be a definite 5 star condo with some updating. As it is I would give it 4 stars and most of that is the complex and location. The owners were good to work with.

Month long stay

We have stayed at this property recently but not at j2. These townhomes are perfect for vacation and families. This particular unit is well kept and upgraded. The owners respond quickly if needed and there is plenty of stuff in the unit for all to enjoy and the complex is located in a great spot in Kona. Would stay here again for sure

Middle aged couple on a getaway!

We had such a blast during our stay. That house has everything you could possibly need and more! We love the deck upstairs. We were so grateful to use the beach chairs and little Cooler. The kitchen had everything you would ever need! The bed was comfy. The shower and bathtub were great!! The decor was beautiful and relaxing. The hot tub was wonderful. The complex is well kept, quiet, and beautiful! The guest book gave us great suggestions. We had the best time and part of it was how great our accommodations were! Highly recommend!

Not As Advertised

The unit is listed as a 2 bathroom plus guest bathroom but we couldn't use the guest bathroom because we had to turn the water off to stop it from malfunctioning. Also the dishwasher never worked. We contacted the host and were told that there were known problems and to consult the users manual.

Perfect Vacation Rental

Throughout the many years of vacation rentals, this has been the best. It is situated in a perfect location. The unit is equipped with everything that contributed to a comfortable stay: more than enough dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, cookware, spices, towels, beddings, beach equipment. We appreciated the owner’s prompt responses to a few minor problems we encountered, mainly our unfamiliarity with a few appliances. We luxuriated in the peace and quiet of the area. We would return here in a heartbeat. Thank you Jane and Richard.

We love the location of the property and have stayed previously in a different unit. The proximity to the pool was great! The lack of "hot" water was troublesome. It was well stocked. All in all we had a great experience.

Great Condo. Great Location very comfortable and inviting

My wife and I just finished a 8 day stay & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We started every day with Coffee on the Lanai just taking in the beautiful view of the ocean, the exotic birds on the property and the immaculate tropical landscaping of the complex. Condo was perfectly furnished with the owners thinking of every need for anyone new to the area or new to the Big Island. The pool and hot tub area was a delight with plenty of room for both Adults and children. Highly recommended, we will be back!

Very convenient location

Clean house, super close to the community swimming pool, a supermarket, and some nice beaches. Minor nitpick: The electronic combination lock is super finicky. You need perfect timing to get it to open!

Relaxing Thanksgiving vacation

Great location! Close to the beach and several different restaurants that all have open air dining and amazing views. The views were great at the property and watching the sunsets each night was a bonus! They had everything you would ever need while you are on vacation. Clean and great decor throughout as well. Beds were comfy. Would definitely stay here again! Pleasantly surprised with everything they had to offer! Can’t wait to come back!

The kitchen is well equipped. The location is great for walkers, & runners. Close to shopping and beaches. This condo has beautiful Sunset views, in a gated community with a lovely pool.

Perfect location

We had a wonderful stay in Keahou. The condo is the perfect location to visit all of the amazing sights of Hawaii. The condo is clean with all the amenities you would need, including all the beach gear. I highly recommend this condo if traveling to the big island.
