"Nice hotel. Really neat to see the history of it in the pictures and articles inside. Rooms would not get cool but staff was quick to provide a fan which cooled enough. Not sure it would be enough in summer. Hard to judge everything as we're there in the off season so much of the property was closed. My biggest complaint was the breakfast buffet. The food was fine, but we had to get our own table service, plates, food, and drinks. The server brought nothing to the table but our bill which included a mandatory 20% gratuity. I probably would have left a couple bucks out of courtesy but a mandatory tip with zero service is just dumb. Rooms were nice. Dated but clean and the property felt safe. Would be interested to see what's like during season."

"Hot tub water looked green. Front desk staff not very friendly. Requested assistance with some teenage boys jumping in pool while granddaughters were in it. Did nothing"

"I purchased a room with a separate tub online. When I arrived, this was not available. After talking with staff, this had been reported to Expedia but it is not being shared online. The Resort did not have this type of room available due to maintenance issues. I was not given a discount which I feel needs to come from Expedia. It is their responsibility to keep information current when information is sent to them, verified by staff. Not sure that I will use Expedia again unless a discount is offered to make it right. "

"The room smelled like fish, the towels smelled like fish, the bathtub/shower was dirty with black stuff in the drain and random hairs on the floor and in the tub. The second night there were no towels available, so we had one towel left. The batteries to the thermostat were dead, so we had to use the ones from the TV remote to control the temperature in the room. "

"We stayed in room 117 and the light/exhaust van in the bathroom was extremely loud. We stayed 2 nights and it got louder the 2nd night so we were using the flashlight on our phones instead. The place is super clean "

"This motels saving grace is the staff’s friendliness and room price. Before I start I will say that the bed sheets appeared clean. The pillows were comfortable & the bed was better than most. However if the other rooms are like room 115 then bring your cleaning supplies. This room needs serious tlc and a deep clean. The wall paper is peeling severely. There was specks of feces on the toilet. The bathroom floor corners were black with dirt. Table top was sticky. After i cleaned with Clorox wipes it is clear to see that the basics to rent the room out are being done like changing sheets, stocking with soaps and towels but cleaning is apparently just being done visually. Meaning housekeeping must be looking at the table, toilet, coffee tray, etc and visually saying “well looks good from here no need to actually physically clean it. You add that to the peeling wall paper, the toilet that rocks side to side and the lack of updates; this room is closely teetering on being classified as a sh*t hole. I truly hope this is not how the majority of the other rooms are. If cleanliness was made a priority and minor updates were made this could be a much better rated motel. Right now it’s just good for a low cost overnight fishing trip but you supply the clean. "

"We left before we even unpacked. The shower was dirty and had pink stains, the lock on the door to the building was broken and the door was blowing open and the interior latch to the room door was also broken and there was cardboard put over the peekhole in the door. "
