The best. 5 min walk from Matsumoto station, just past the busiest streets. Love the clean floors when everyone is asked to take off shoes and clean the suitcases’ wheels. Very friendly and helpful staff. Onsen was very nice. Superb value for money option.

The decoration is a bit old but the staff and the service made up for it. The staff spoke fluent English and are very helpful. The night soba (new year special) was very good. Complimentary desserts in room.

The English level of staff are much better than other same tier hotel groups. There’s smell in the toilet and the staff immediately arranged a plumber to fix it when we were out. The parking is smooth but it’s first-come-first-served. 1000yen per night again the staff were nice. There are lots of restaurants and a plenty of shopping places in the area. Overall a good deal considering the price level.

I had an enjoyable stay at Buena Vista Hotel! It situated a bit off the busy part of the train station but still in walking distance to all the interesting places. The executive room is a bit small but you might expect that as that is in Japan....the executive lounge gave me relax time towards the evening. Breakfast at the restaurant on the top floor offers fantastic views over the city at all angles. The staff are very friendly and helpful....one bonus is, although there is no onsen inside the...

It is a family run business so can feel the warmness. The food is amazing and the service is very good. The owner will talk to the customer and ask for areas of improvment. It is an amazing stay at the place.

This is an excellent little hotel, located a few blocks from Matsumoto Castle. Staff spoke English reasonably well, for the most part, and were helpful and solicitous of our needs. The hotel structure seems quite new, and the lobby is attractive, with modern design. (And free tea all day, which was nice while waiting for people to assemble.)
One word of warning: the hotel's entrance is actually on the side-street, though many maps show it as on the main boulevard (Daimyocho-dori). ...
