“The villa is a bit remote, but a great place. We took a few days just to stay there and relax in this beautiful place with wonderful view to the sea and the mountains. But all the sights in the west of Crete are also in good distance; we hiked the Samaria Gorge, made a beach trip to Elafonisi, visited the monastery Arkadi and the nearby beautiful Chania. In the house everything was perfect, the pool very refreshing and the terrace an awesome place to relax. The communication with our host Pon……

“Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Unterkunft. Die Kinder haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Pool ist toll, der Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse sehr schön anzusehen und es entsprach alles unseren Erwartungen.”

“A lovely villa in a peaceful tranquil retreat. Wonderful views of the coast and surrounding hills. Watch the Eagles soaring above. Very peaceful you can listen to the wildlife around you. The nearest Taverna is just over a kilometer away but you are unlikely to encounter a car walking there. Beautiful lake nearby to see the fresh water turtles.”

“Huisje ligt heerlijk rustig op een groot stuk grond, met een eigen zwembad. Behalve vogels, pauwen en kikkers hoor je niets. De keukenuitrusting is erg basic. Twee gezellige katten. Wij hebben steeds bij Petrokino in Mixorouma gegeten, een paar minuten met de auto. Daarnaast zit de supermarkt/bakkerij.”

“Overall loved the place. There were a few niggles like the garden lights being intentionally turned off detracting from the atmosphere, penny-pinching in the extreme. Not being able to leave the washing machine or dishwasher on when going out because the electricity fob was locked to the door key, very patronising, especially considering the money paid for rental.the location was excellent and the outside ameneties great. Did think more effort could be put into a welcome basket maybe salt pepper……

“This is such a beautiful spot - peaceful, great view, 10 minutes from the beach and such a comfortable well appointed apartment. The terrace and garden were delightful too and we looked forward to coming back every day. Patrick was a very helpful and attentive host. He met us when we arrived to give detailed directions. We would love to go back.”

“Lovely villa in a beautiful setting. Spotless and well equipped. Pool area is overlooked by a very close bedroom balcony from neighbouring villa that shares the grounds. Owners come regularly to clean and empty bins and check all is ok.”

“Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la villa Ammos: propre, bien équipée, notamment de lits confortables, entourée de jolis jardins (herbes aromatiques et arbres fruitiers) et d'une piscine commune appartenant à une propriété très bien entretenue et proche en voiture des commodités (supermarché, route d'accès aux principaux sites touristiques). Hôtes discrets mais serviables et absolument charmants. Petit bémol sur la wifi, pas très stable.”

“The villa was fantastic and in an excellent location to explore the beauty of Crete. The local village has surprising restaurants and the near by town of Rethymno is amazing day and night. The villa was wonderfully clean and Joanna an excellent host. We would highly recommend staying here!”

“We loved our stay at Johanna’s Kelafas home. The home was very private, beautifully decorated with many personal touches and everything needed for our stay. The grounds are beautiful, flowers, herbs, fruit trees! We especially enjoyed the fresh grate fruit! Great place to enjoy day trips to the beach, rural villages for an authentic Greek experience and restaurants in the area. Johanna was lovely and very responsive with recommendations to the area. Don’t hesitate to book her place!”

“Schönes Haus in fantastischer Lage. Mega freundliche Besitzer. In der dazugehörigen Taverne bekommt man sehr leckeres griechisches Essen zu unglaublich fairen Preisen. Man fühlt sich absolut willkommen. Wunderschöne Strände und sauberes klares Meer.”

“Le séjour avait mal commencé avec la salle de bain de la chambre pas très propre, pas de gel douche. Sinon le reste du séjour c'est bien passé. Les restaurants et bars sont très bien. C'est bon et variés. Beaucoup d'activités surtout pour les enfants. Beaucoup de transats. La proximité de Chania accessibles en bus est un plus.”

“Beautiful and clean with all the amenities. The pool and design is sleek and an amazing area to spend your days. The beach is a private direct access! This is special for this area because many of the resorts are separated by a street. We stayed in a basic room and it was still lovely. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so KIND! You can walk from the resort to the city easily or there are also public buses. We didn’t do the included dinner and I ended up loving this decision as it……
