Convenient to pool and beach which was great. The rooms were spacious and bedding and towels were good. The gas grill is a little dated but did work just didn’t get too hot.. The washer and dryer auto sensing did not work but we were able to work around it.Loved the aquatic tubes, masks, snorkels in garage which was pleasant surprise!

The resort amenities were nice, snorkeling was great at the beach club, and the fact so much beach equipment (chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, coolers, boards) was available to us was very helpful! House was clean, well kept, and provided everything we needed to cook large family dinners.

Wow! This place is a gem! The location is great, in a beautiful lush, quiet neighborhood - even walking the trash to the drop off site was awesome since you were seeing billions of stars and the Milky Way! There was ample space for everyone. The place was clean and had everything we needed from extra towels and many beach towels to pots and pans in the well appointed kitchen. The owner/property manager was super responsive and eash to reach via text - even after the trip when I realized I left my wallet when I was already back in NC. Super nice, super comfy, I honestly couldn't ask for a better place to stay! :)

Spacious accommodations and great location.

We stayed at this rental for almost 3 weeks and loved the location. The layout of the house was perfect for our large group and was spacious enough that we felt we all had personal space.There were plenty of towels and bedding and the house was well equipped. The only complaints were that the house could use a little TLC with the walls being painted and the carpet and furniture cleaned. Also, the patio furniture could have been more comfortable and was minimal. Knives in the kitchen could be upgraded as well as they were very dull.The pool and the fitness facilities were top notch and we loved the area. Great place for a large group.

Nice property but lacking in some essentials

Mike is a nice guy who let us check in early and was extremely responsive when we needed additional dishwasher soap. This property is large enough for 10 adults to stay but does not have enough dishes in the kitchen to support that many people easily. There are also a lot of HOA things that make the property less inviting including a gate with a code that is not easy to enter from the driver seat of your car. Overall a nice place to stay though with a pool nearby and grocery stores just down the road. But i don’t think I would return.

Fun family stay

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The pool and gym were just a short walk away. The beach club is just a short drive from the condo. Foodland farms was close enough to get food on the go. The open floor plan was great for family dinners and games. Unfortunately, we did have issues with plumbing in the bathrooms downstairs, so couldn’t really shower or bathe downstairs the first couple of days, until maintenance had the time to come out and fixed the issue. It was also unfortunate the the BBQ grill was not properly cleaned or ready to go. Mike did come out the next morning to resolve the issue. We also thought the drawers could’ve been cleaned out a little better. Other than that, we had a very nice stay.

Great experience and would recommend to all.We brought our family of 10 (my spouse and 3 kids ages 5-10, brother his spouse and 2 kids ages 5-10, and my mother) and there was enough space for all of us. The pool was a close walk and a beach was within a 5 minute drive. The gym facilities were excellent according to my sister in law and right next to the pool. There is a local grocery store 2 minutes from the location which was convenient. Activities were all at least a 30 minute drive away but the scenery makes it all worthwhile. Check in and check out were all smooth and the property manager was responsive to inquiries. I highly recommend this location.

With the access to Mauna Lani beach club, our family was able to test snorkeling before the trip to Captain Cook snorkeling boat tour. Lots of snorkel gears, floaties, boogie boards, beach chair and towels to use. Mike was super helpful and responsive, providing lots of great suggestions about local activities too. Would love to come back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Mauna Lani! The neighborhood is always so quiet and the grounds are beautiful. Mike was always very responsive to our needs of and when any problems came up. For example we had no full propane tanks for the BBQ but Mike had someone deliver us a tank within minutes of me sending him a text. We also had a situation where the pool was quite dirty on one day but once again Mike sent a message to the community property manager and it was resolved the next day. That’s quite impressive. Overall this is the place to be on the Big Island, we love our stays at the Shiwota properties.

Each family in our party had their own area and comfortable common area for when we were all together.
