Great neighborhood location
The pros: Great neighborhood location, close to country club plaza, restaurants, shopping etc..cozy home nicely decorated. We enjoyed our stay here despite the following.. The cons: Could use upgrade on all linens and towels- really thin small, worn Kitchen needs a few more things to enhance the stay Tv systems outdated, complicated House is more worn than than the photos * Check/ double check your reservation w host..on our last day we were called/ texted at 1030 am that there had been a mix up and a new reservation was scheduled to start. We were told that we needed to check out..(We did extend our stay by one day due to airline challenges early on, paid for and was approved for extension). We were offered the refund and a stay in another of their properties.. we chose to stay in a hotel for our final night.( we paid for) Asked why the other reservation was not placed elsewhere since we were already in the home and was told “ they had their reservation for months”. Although the host was apologetic, really didn’t think this was acceptable.

Location of this house is perfect! It's near everything. Grocery store , liquor store 🤪 and so much more. Our family (6) all have plenty of room to move around without stepping on each other.

Great house and location
The house was perfect for our girls getaway. It was clean and furnished with everything we needed. Walking distance to Plaza. Hi Hat coffee just a couple blocks away. Would definitely stay here again!

Smelled like cat pee and a dead animal in the walls. Dirt hair over the floors. Spills on counters. Thick coating of dirt and dust on everything. Door knobs all sticky. Disgusting would never recommend. I contacted the owner four times and never heard back. DO NOT STAY HERE. I have pictures the owner did not respond to view them. Will post online. DO NOT STAY. A

Charming!
Tastefully decorated, charming home in a quiet neighborhood. Centrally located and just a few minutes walk or drive from everything we planned to see and do. Having a "home away from home" made our stay much easier, especially with the heat during the days we visited. Our group was able to gather and relax in the common spaces of the home which was so much more pleasant than cramped hotel spaces. Be sure to wander about a block west to enjoy Hi Hat coffee in the mornings!

We were in town visiting our in-laws and this was the perfect place for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable, the house was stocked with everything we could need, and it was in a great area right near the Plaza.

The overall stay was great, I would suggest a couple of touch up items. Front glass door was very dirty, backyard could have been mowed and weed eated...sticks, old bread and some cigarette butts. some of the light bulbs were out, but found some to replace them. TV was a little difficult to operate...one of the remotes batteries were dead and you could not change the Input function, but figured it out. The air went out the last evening, but Lance called someone to come out and they fixed it. We really liked having a home to stay in instead of a hotel room. will more than likely stay in a VRBO again...Thanks

KC Family Bash
Super quaint property in the perfect KC location. Loved the details inside from hardwood floors to beautiful wood trim. Lots of room and everyone said the beds were extremely comfortable. Was hoping to enjoy the outside fireplace but ran into a little rain. We enjoyed our stay and would definetly rent this property again.

Pretty home that's convenient to everything
We really enjoyed staying in this home and will likely do so again the next time we come to KC. It is well maintained and the manager is super responsive with texts of information on how to use the property (access codes and WIFI passwords) He also provided us with a link to a website of what to do in KC. The property is centrally located in a really nice residential neighborhood. We were able to quickly get to the Plaza and Arrowhead and KCI are within reasonable driving distances.

Great Location

Nice House, but needs cleaning and maintenance
Pros: House was nicely decorated, walking distance to the Plaza area, and has a nice master suite and outdoor patio. The master bed was comfortable. Cons: I took off star ratings because the home needs deep cleaning and detailed maintenance. One bed looked like it had been slept in (cover was pulled up, but the pillows and sheets were rumpled underneath). The kitchen and half-bath had no towels, there was trash left in the kitchen and bath trash cans, floors were not well vacuumed, and there were crumbs on the dining table. Kitchen was sparsely supplied, drawers needed cleaning on the inside, and some lights were burned out. We ran out of tissue and body soap in a bathroom and couldn't find any back-up supplies. My main concern are the wonky steps from the parking pad a few feet down to the back yard and door entry. They are hard to navigate and downright dangerous, especially when you're carrying luggage. I have notified the property manager that they need to be replaced with a staircase.

Mary - Thank you again for your feedback. I have personally inspected the house with the cleaning crew to ensure the place is to our typical high standards. I have also taken a look at the steps to see if there is a fix we can find to make guests more comfortable while using them. Hope to see you again.

Nice home that is well decorated in the Westport area of KC.
This home is a nice property with 3 bedrooms consisting of a king, queen and full size (I believe) mattresses. The kitchen could be better equipped and there are additional "rules" that are not publicized such as no on-street parking with the number of cars limited to two. My criticism here should not be considered a complaint, but as one who frequently stays in vacation homes, a suggestion on how to make a good place even better. I would certainly stay here again when my travels bring me back to KC.

What a great house!
We traveled to KC to work a trade show, downtown at the convention center. Not only was this house convenient to downtown, it was in a beautiful neighborhood and close to all kinds of great places to eat/drink. We had a great time on this trip and thank this homeowner for opening up his property through vrbo. Would definitely rent from again!

Hosted a little get together for a girls weekend. I am from KC area but still was provided with places to go and things to see to make the other girls visit a blast. The house has everything you need to relax. Not to mention the bed in the master is very comfy!

Perfect Location!
The location was perfect! A short drive to the plaza area, downtown and Kauffman Stadium. The house was roomy, clean and very comfortable. The beds were soft and provided for an excellent night of sleep. Great Wi-Fi too. We will stay again. Joe's KC BBQ was only 5 minutes away!!!

Great location, comfortable and quality home!
My wife and I traveled with another couple to Kansas City, and this house was perfect for us. It is also located in a wonderful neighborhood! Highlights of the home: The master bedroom is spacious, with a great closet, very comfortable king-sized bed, private bath (awesome shower!), and mounted big screen television....it was a great retreat! The 2nd bedroom, while a little smaller, had a comfortable bed and worked okay (no dressers in either room). We did not use the third bedroom but it can be used as an office or for additional people to sleep in. The downstairs is very functional with a nice kitchen, dining room, and living room area. The living room TV is mounted quite high, but the couches and chair are comfortable and it is a bright, cheery room to socialize in (maybe more on the formal side). We were gone quite a bit, and it was hot (the house's air conditioning is fantastic!), so we did not use the patio or porch as much, but both could be used to relax, read, dine, whatever. Overall, the rooms are nicely appointed, the house is crisp and clean, and there was enough space to spread out or come together. Highlights of the location: - a wonderful little coffee shop a block away, right on the Kansas/Missouri border (very strange that the border is right there). It was a daily highlight for us and helped us connect with the locals right away. It is literally the smallest coffee shop you will ever visit! - great places to run/jog/walk (in the nearby country club's neighborhood, amongst some beautiful homes, or on the Trolley Trail near 51st and Brookview....t runs for about 10 miles I believe). - the Plaza is not far away at all...even walking distance for many! Great shops and restaurants there. - it is a very nice neighborhood that feels safe, with easy access to key roads to take you wherever you need to go. Overall, while I don't think we saved significantly from a hotel room, the location, quality, and size of the house were perfect for us, and we would surely rent it again in the future!

This house was in perfect location and was a very great place for couple of families to stay. Really enjoyed the neighborhood and ease of getting to the Plaza and restaurants. Highly recommended, pristine, well located property
Renting this property was a very positive experience. It's very well located in a safe, quiet (green--in April/May) neighborhood with great access to shops and services. It's about 10 minutes walking distance to the County Club Plaza with a wide variety of business (including nice coffee shops, restaurants--vegetarian too, various retail and a movie theater); and about a 30 minute walk from the world class Nelson Art Gallery (free admission) and Kansas City Art Institute. The house itself was in perfect, clean and organized condition with beautiful hardwood floors and flat screen TVs in every room, lots of extra blankets and linens to make sure everyone stays warm and cozy and good natural lighting throughout. The kitchen was nicely outfitted with everything needed to cook and eat comfortably (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, basic seasonings, coffeemaker, tea kettle, toaster, etc.). The master bedroom with attached bathroom was clean, spacious with new finishes and the walk-in shower with great shower head and water pressure. There is a spacious screened side porch which is nice to relax in and bbq grill with more table and chairs in the backyard (which we didn't use, but might next time we're here). Central heating was very efficient and worked perfectly to quickly warm the house on a couple of chilly mornings. Ceiling fans were also great for keeping the air fresh and circulating, as needed. There is also a full-size washer and dryer in the basement with laundry products (detergent, softener, etc), if needed. My family and I were here for one week and we had no reason to contact Lance, the owner, since everything worked perfectly and nothing went wrong. We did, however, give Lance a call to let him know we were "checking out" and were pleased to discover that not only does he maintain a beautiful property, but he's also a very friendly, informative and personable gentleman. All in all a very seamless, pleasant experience. The price we paid was also very attractive. My sister who rented a nearby condo also commented --after coming by to visit--that she would like to rent Lance's property (instead) the next time she or her family are in KC. I highly recommend this property and will likely make it my family's "go to" property for future travels to KC, if it's available. Thank you for the opportunity to post this review.

Perfect-Just as advertised
My family of four stayed in the property over a long weekend. The description of the property was accurate. About a 2 minute drive to the Plaza and about 5-10 minutes from downtown. About a 20 minute drive out to Kauffman/Arrowhead stadiums. Quiet/Peaceful neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. The master bedroom had a comfortable mattress with blackout curtains to make sleeping in easy. The property was very clean and well maintained. Living/Dining/Kitchen are all on main floor with a nice screened in porch. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are upstairs. The 3rd bedroom has a pull out sofa with an inflatable mattress. The kids said it was comfortable. TVs in each bedroom. Apple TV available in the master. We didn't use the kitchen amenities, but they all seemed to be high end. Parking was available on property and would accommodate 2 vehicles. I would recommend this property to someone staying just a few nights or for a business traveler staying for an extended period of time. We will definitely consider this option again when visiting KC.
