Wasn't aware that there were two separate properties with the same name so we went to the other property across the street and we were very confused when we weren't able to find our room number in the building and there was no staff available to ask.
The lighting in the bathroom was HORRIBLE. It was impossible to put on makeup for a wedding I was attending because the lighting was so bad!. Had to waste time shopping for brighter light bulbs to replace the very dark/dim ones above the bathroom sink.
Didn't like that there was no staff on the property during our stay. Made the atmosphere feel very cold and impersonal

My visit started with excellent customer service with Zach helping me find my parking space to making sure I got checked into my room. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and the hotel management was super responsive. My room was very warm and they tried to work with me to make it cooler. I think maybe a call ahead to make sure the heat is turned down or off in the room would be helpful. The room had a makeup washcloth and hair dryer bag which were nice touches, and also a steamer for my clothes if I needed it.

The contactless entry was great but we did meet one of their innkeepers who was great providing history of the property. This is a great place to stay if you are in to historic houses and properties. It was really a very lovely place. We stayed in the East property in a suite. The only thing I would suggest is for them to put more hooks in the bathroom, as there really isn't a place to hang towels. Also make sure you remember your passwords for streaming!

Room 1A is nice -bathroom is huge with a private exit and huge open shower. It is on the ground floor and right across from the housekeeping closet and opposite the coffee station. Lots of activity around it and the stairs come out at the room entry so the upstairs guests are quite noisy going right down into the tiny hallway. It is nicely appointed with little details. The apples were rotten-but replaced this AM with new ones. So thank you for noticing! One suggestion would be to give particular details about which room you are letting (carriage house, first floor, across the street, upstairs) so you can determine if you want to reserve a stay. I will be pickier next time.

WOW. I am honestly blown away by how amazing this hotel was. We booked it last minute and it turned out to be the BEST decision ever. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations — the amenities were incredible, the room was absolutely perfect, and the overall experience was beyond anything we could have hoped for. This place deserves way more than 5 stars… if I could give it 20 stars, I would without hesitation! I cannot recommend this hotel enough!!!

The historic renovated house was fabulous! Beautifully decorated with a homey feel that made it comfortable to hang out in the public areas. Our room was spotless, with wonderful attention to detail. The walk in shower was massive and the waterfall shower head was sheer heaven! The bed was very comfy, although, I must say the down comforter was almost too warm… and that was with the thermostat turned all the way down! This location was perfect, able to walk to 2 of the best art museums easily, and within walking distance to catch the city tram, as well. We loved our stay here and would love to stay here again in the future!

This room (King bed in the carriage house) is ideal if you have family or friends staying in the room next door: the noise from other guests comes through the wall so I could hear conversations, coughing and snoring. Theres a white noise machine in the room you can use, though. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent in the room but seemed to be fine in the main house, so remote work could be done there. I still rate this 5 stars because the location and decor are wonderful. I would stay here again.

I don’t want to stay anywhere else now. It was a beautiful historic mansion with an updated interior. It still has the charm and was cozy. It was in walking distance to KCAI, very clean and quiet. It was also nice because our family was in one house and could walk across the street to our family in the other house. I hope to stay there everytime I go visit my student at KCAI. Absolutely amazing!
